Guest octopusdank Report post Posted March 15, 2008 lol you should of got Jeff Gordon's autograph. Dale Jr. is just a redneck in a car who only thinks about himself, ive meet him before in person at Talladega... i asked politely for a autograph and he walked right by me like i was a ant, and the only thing i could think of was "wow, what a cocky arrogant selfish man". Then I ran into Jeff Gordon and he was more than willing to sign my stuff and talk about racing and engines and what not. Alot of people hate Gordon, but he really is a great guy. Babcock chews 3 packs of Bubbalicious bubblegum every night, one for every period.(Strawberry, Cotton Candy, and Lemonade flavor) Sammy may look homeless but he gets to sleep in the dressing room floor after everyone leaves. I have never pissed in a troth, so I don't know what that smells like. Gorrila piss maybe? hahah
CAredwingsfan91 28 Report post Posted March 15, 2008 babcock should come out with his own gum since he chews it so much. BABAlicious "The true chewing gum for true champions!" (insert rare picture of babock smiling holding up the gum)
wingnut40 176 Report post Posted March 15, 2008 BABAlicious Curse you, you beat me to it! As far as players being approachable, when my friend and I met Lilja, we each got a picture with him as we got our stuff signed. After alot of the people were gone, and the was no line, we went back to see if he would take a pic with both of us. He did. I said "We'll leave you alone after this I promise." He's just like " Oh no I don't mind!" And before we were taking like a million other pictures of him and he looked right at us and smiled for them. He's such a badass on the ice, but he's a really approachable guy off it. Then again it was at an autograph session, but still, he was willing to take another picture with two annoying teenage girls. Great guy.

55fan 5,133 Report post Posted March 15, 2008 I dont know about babs, but I do know Hudler chews cinnamon gum. When I huged him I smelled it. Oh and I also know chelli chews tobacco....GROSS! What flavour? Plain is gross, but if you mix berry and vanilla skoal it is quite tasty and nice-smelling. Throw in a bit of peppermint for special occasions. I quit 4 years ago due to an ulcer, but times like this, I miss it. At least it is something you keep to yourself (spitting is GROSS) and it doesn't bother others like smoking can (you no likie, stay outta my housie). Seriously, I am allergic to perfume, cologne and aftershave, so if someone is bothered by my smoking, I don't do it around them because I can relate. That's where chew comes in handy. Hank and Homer do it too. I once had a pic of them and you could see the cans in their pockets. Someone pointed them out. I can't believe I didn't notice them. I was looking closely at the picture. I guess the Swedes have their own kind. Another Babs thought: I don't know if he ever smoked or if he does, but if that's the case, he can't smoke in the Joe anyway, so he'd have to do something. I don't think hockey player should chew gum. It's not good for their teeth.

It's fairly common among hockey players. And yeah, they do have their own special kind over in Europe. I've heard Finns and Swedes call it Snus before, but I have no idea what it is. bloodred13 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2008 i've met zetterberg, datsyuk, draper and yzerman outside of the gaming world, and honestly if you hadnt seen them playing on tv you would have just thought they were like any other normal person. all of them were really cool guys, datsyuk was really quiet.....prolly because he isnt too great with the english. but i know that drapes and zetterberg will sign autographs and such and wont be jerks about it like the other guy talking about dale jr.....i dont understand what that guy has to be cocky about.... hes in nascar.... redwingschick33 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2008 Okay so I've got one: How much do the guys who are posted behind the net get paid to push a button that sets the light/siren off every time they see the puck enter the net? And, do you have to be a senior to do that? Because all of these men look over the age of 65... If you notice, they no longer sit behind the net. They now sit in the last row of the lower bowl so it makes their job even more useless (if you ask me). And I don't think they get paid a whole lot, I know a few of the off-ice officials have regular jobs during the day... Random fact: If you watch the players skate out on the ice before the start of warmups/before the start of a period, 99% of the time (unless there's an injury), the starting goal skates out followed by Draper and then Maltby. They have apparently done this for awhile now and it's just a little superstition they have. It was weird on Thursday because Drapes was injured so it was Ozzie and then Maltby- kind of threw me off! mooose kiiisses 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 your son is so cute! i swear i saw Dallas Drake at Chuck E. Cheese once. I was putting my sister's tickets into the counter machine thing and him and his son were putting theres into the one next to us. it was right after he came back here during the preseason, so i wasn't really familiar with his face. Saturday, September 29, to be exact (I went to the game later with my grandfather, and i don't think he played). i'm still not sure if it was really him, but i swear it was, the man was even wearing a red wings t-shirt. i just kept looking at him over and over trying to figure out if it was him. he didn't say anything, only smiled. I asked my dad and he said he thought it was him (he had 'the hockey player nose'). so there is my seeing a Wing outside of a sporting event story. if it wasn't him he has a person out there who looks an awful lot like him.
