Saw this and thought it was interesting. If properly motivated this guys is a beast, someone will take a chance on him next year. http://www.spectorshockey.net/index.php?op...rs&Itemid=9

Hahaha, good riddance Yashin. What did he expect? He was already going to be paid a lot from the Islanders, no way was he gunna get full market value on top of that. This is what happens when you're greedy, I hope no one signs him this summer.

We need to sign him and Grigorenko for next year, to give us more hard working guys who aren't afraid to battle for the puck.

Also, we should strip Lidstrom of the captaincy, and give it to Yashin, since he has more experience at being the captain of a team, while Lidstrom has only been a captain for 2 years.

Yashin might miss the NHL. But if he were in the NHL, he'd miss the $$ he is getting now.

And the NHL does not miss Yashin!! Maybe the Isles, but I doubt it!!

I'm shocked!

So he doesn't like playing in a league where you have to carry your own bags, staying in motels where the cockroaches will carry you, toothless puck bunnies and playing in arena's which read 0,0 on a GPS?

Hopefully all that buy-out money can buy him a work ethic. Until then, keep your ass in Russia.

They'll be on the Brunnstrom line for sure pullin 30+ minutes.

Therein lies the problem, Yashin is notorious for being a lazy prima donna.

I agree, he's a freaking stack of potential, but he's already shown he doesn't have the will to realize it.

It's his own damn fault he's not in the NHL anymore to begin with.

Haha. I can just imagine Yashin and Grigorenko sitting next to each other in a locker room drinking Russian vodka and sucking down cigars before the start of game. Somebody needs to make a picture of that!

Not trying to protect anybody, but Yashin is the leading scorer with 12 pts (6+6) in the playoffs, and his line is the biggest reason why Lokomotiv is in semi-finals.
