I'm also fan of Wild and epecially Slovakian crew as far as I'm from Slovakia also..and when I saw Laperriere smashing Gabby I could not belive my eyes. Sure...this happens...but Gaborik has at least thrown away gloves. Laperriere did not. And when the second Avs player came and hit Gabby...I was just like Huh ?!? I used to like Laperriere, but this year he's really been a disappointment with some of his shots. Put this right up there with his turtling against Downey. This really pissed me off, first of all it was at the end of overtime so it was not necessary. Second, why is Lappy taking liberties with the start players? I am glad Gabby reacted the way he did. Real bad move for Lappy though he will have a target on his back for Simon and Boogard. I may be biased because I hate the Avs, and Gabby is one of my favorite non-wings, but Lappy is just starting to be such a pansy. Edit: even more important, what I missed before...Why does Hannan jump in to "protect" Lappy? Seriously, if i saw Downey start a fight with Sakic like that I honestly would not cheer him on. I still hope that punk winds up hospitalized just like Steve Moore. Hopefully Simon will be the one to do it. He broke every code in the book with that crap right there. How would divealanche fans like it if Boogaard KO'd Sakic or Forsberg for no reason. There will be a time and game where the oppurtunity presents itself. No, it will not happen in game 1 of a close game, but once any game turns into a 3 or more goal differential and Lappy hits the ice, its go time as an instigator and/or long powerplay wont matter.
