• The AHL suspended Nathan Smith -- captain of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Pittsburgh's affiliate -- for Thursday's playoff game after he was caught streaking in downtown Scranton. He said it was because of a bet.

just reading the title of this, i thought it was a plan for all of us to go on a roadtrip to colorado for game 4 and run naked around the perimeter of the pepsi centre as the avs fans are filing in.

i have to say i'm a little disappointed. :P

You were closer than me I thought he was talking about the wings riding this streak throughout the playoffs!

At least you had the right streaking!

The Penguins won their series with Hershey on Friday night, so the boys were out celebrating. Smith started his "streak" at about 2:29 AM in the 100 block of Adams Ave. and a cop car came around the corner. Ding-dong ran TO the cop car! Smith was charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, open lewdness, and indecent exposure. On a side note, Penguins winger Ryan Stone was also cited for public drunkenness after he failed to leave the scene when instructed to by police.

Can you show me any statistics on the number of hockey players who streak and their Save %, wins, losses, shut outs, and minutes played?

It would be much appreciated.
