VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted June 3, 2008 I've got a good feeling....no, a GREAT feeling! We've seen all along this year that the Wings deserve the Cup and they've proven it many times. Now they get to earn it for real! The offense is awake, defense is a wake, and that goal didn't seem to deflate the WIngs any. They're calm and still dominating. Pittsburgh may have energy, but I don't think it'll be enough.
Matt 1,049 Report post Posted June 3, 2008 No way we win tonight. Pissburgh got all the momentum they need. I fear this. Bulls***. Pittsburgh was reeling the entire third period and got a goal with the extra man. They're without Gonchar, their best defenseman. While disappointing, I don't think there's even a hint of let-up from the Red Wings at the start of overtime. They're buzzing and I think that'll follow through in the extra session. sjradio 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2008 This has been an unfortunate pattern for us this playoff year. Unable to hit the empty net and giving the other team chances. I only remember 1 empty netter in the playoffs, and that was Rafalski's at Nashville in game 6 with us already up 2-0. But game 5 vs. Nashville is another example. Couldn't do it when we needed to bury them. We were sitting back instead of doing what got us the lead!!!!! I also look at game 4. Sitting back late in the game and Pittsburgh had a few chances late in the game with Fluerry pulled.

betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted June 3, 2008 Nonsense like this only happens to us....and Toronto. Toronto fans would give both nuts, a kidney, an arm and a leg, their firstborn, secondborn, and a lung from their thirdborn, if it would put them where we are now. There's no better place to be in the hockey world. WE WILL WIN

Red Wings are pissed they are not on the ice celebrating with the cup right now. They will use that as fuel in the opening minutes of OT
