I would like to see Osgood have that many shoots against him, the only reason

he is a good as you people think is because of the people playing in front of him.

He could have a picnic in his net with the people in front of him and when he gets

some shots, quality shots, he just average.

Dude, you are an idiot. Yeah, it sucked that Kronner knocked it off of the skate of a Penguin but the Red Wings came back. They had the game but didn't finish it.

Kronner has been huge for us in the playoff, so to say that you "hate" him is a bit harsh.

undoubtedly it would have been nice to win at home, however, the experience the wings players just went through will help them for years to come, but obviously wouldnt be worth the experirience if they cant close them out. im just gonna try to be like a player and not to get down with a loss.

What the hell is wrong with you people? Nobody "choked." Both teams had chances, Detroit played better. Yeah, some made mistakes but then they made up for those mistakes with huge plays later.

To say anyone sucks or "choked" is a mistake. Everything was going the Wings way for the last half of the game. We just need to get off to a better start and finish better.

It's not like we played like s*** and couldn't get anything going.

The loss was a team effort, could have easily taken it in the 3rd, and again in OT1, and again in OT2. My stomach is always in my throat with Osgood in net when we have a 1 goal lead in the 3rd, and I can count on my hands and toes how many big one goal leads he has blown and we went on to lose the game. I'm an Osgood fan, but all he is and all he will ever be is a solid goaltender with the ability to play the position, never to steal a game, and never be considered stellar. I still pick him over Hasek, but people put too much stock into him and his abilities. Look at his year with the Islanders to see what kind of goalie he is without a phenomonal team in front of him.

Like I said, the loss was a team effort, but don't pin blame on a backup goaltender that outshined the starter for the playoffs. If you want to point fingers, point them at our "two greatest forwards in hockey".

Is it me, or was Osgood awkwardly out of position sometimes. Like in one instance he was just sorta standing there oddly as the puck rolls by and just misses the net. Now I don't think he cost us the game, the team lost it. It's just concerning though.

Wow, so much hate... I don't think it's fair to see all the blame put upon Kronvall, he did f^ck up, but we did regain the lead after it...Sammy had so many chances to score, I thought he would redeem himself on this board... guess not.

On the bright side, did anyone else notice how well Helm played? I know I'm not a coach or anything, but I would move him up to the 2nd line...but thats just my 2 cents..

Anyways, I have a good feeling that the Wings will come out running on all cylinders in game 6.

We didn't choke? Stopping offense and letting Pittsburgh run around in our zone wasn't choking? Zetterberg failing to throw the puck to the empty net wasn't choking? Franzen failing to clear wasn't choking? Having the lead with 35 seconds left in the 3rd period and letting a Pittsburgh player have a life time to try to put it in the net wasn't choking? Losing that lead and letting the other team win in overtime wasn't choking?

Way to contradict yourself. Ozzie played some of his best hockey with the Isles. He was given an MVP award from the team for a reason.

Ozzie is more than a solid goaltender, and he's a hell of a lot more than good.

Osgood became Nogood when it really counted. Even if Hudler hadn't committed that stupid penalty, the Wings would have found a way to lose this one....reminded me of the Ducks winning in here in OT last year. I've never seen a team commit so many penalties that is supposed to be so disciplined.

Are you kidding? Osgood was awesome tonight. How's he supposed to stop Kronner's goal? He roofed it right over the top of him. Osgood is been one of our better players. Our D has sucked beyond belief, and Fluery has been a monster in the net. He had his best game tonight keeping the pens in it after regulation.
