Fixed.

Maybe you don't understand the phrase "three in a row" if the Pens were to win the cup they whould have to win three in a row. Yes, they have one one of those but the point is that it is still going to be really hard to win the last game and the next two. Thats how winning and losing streaks work you count all the games. The Pens will have to win three games in a row without the Wings winning one.

Yeah crushing because the Pens lost a two goal lead got it handed to them for most of the game, had to have Flurrey play the game of his life, and still took 3 OT's to get their second win of the series. I mean the Pens have scored a whole 7 goals in 5 games thats incredible (and squeeked out both wins) whereas the Wings have gotten 14 goals and blown the Pens out twice. I mean congrats on the big OT win but your team is still sucking hind ***.

It's funny how so many times fans from Pittsburgh are called trolls,

some may be, but not all.

I also find it funny that you guys keep bringing up KC. That's funny.

That was motivation to get the new arena. Crosby, Malkin were a bonus

to speed up the process.

Fair weather fans, let's be real, every team has those not just Pittsburgh.

The wings are on the verge of winning the Stanley cup, and yet, you still can not

sell out. <_<

Coming to the red wings forum an beating our drum might not be the smartest thing

to do, but telling us to f***-off when a legit question is asked or a rebuttal is showing lack

of respect or how young you are.

s*** calls have happened on both sides, I've seen a lot of non-calls also that go either way.

but we don't talk about the one's that go your way. But again, red wings forum what would you expect. Same goes for the pens forum.

I love the game of hockey, this is a fine series with alot of emotion. It might not finish the way I would hope it would, but I think this is the best hockey I've seen in years.

Good luck in tonight game by the way. May the better team win.

Well I'm nervous, but then I always am when the Wings are in the Playoffs. This has been 2 months of jangeling nerves! I remember having near heart attacks in the 97-98 finals against Washington. Damn, that was amazing I still remember the adrenalin rush from that series.

So yeah I'm nervous, but I'm confident that the boys in RED will win this thing. They're the better team. If they lose, it is because they beat themselves -- not Pittsburgh.

I swear to god, if i have to hear "beware the wounded penguin" one more fricken time im going to puke. Thanks don. I've talked to 4 pens fans today.. they all say the same thing, my MSN is filled with that same comment. Well, half of them are leaf fans living through another teams dream, because they cant finish. But thats beside the point.

Did everyone forget that the wings play their best hockey when their backs are against the wall. Even still, the wings are dominant in almost every category of the game. I believe the wings are more pissed off than anything from that loss and will come fired. Btw, it wasn't a "crushing" loss. Bounces happen, we clearly didn't get much in game 5, s*** happens life goes on.

wings in 6.

Actually, the games have been selling out. In fact they were sold out except for a few single seat tickets within 10 minutes of going on sale.

I don't think most here thought that it was a legit question that started this thread but rather a taunt to which Wings fans responded.

Most of the complaints here were not about non-calls but the absolutely horrible overtime calls for goalie interference (which my gripe was the calls in general I don't want the Wings getting those calls either especially in OT). Furthermore, you have to be kidding when you say that ya'll aren't talking about the ones that go our way. Did you listen to anything that your coach said after games (especially after games one and two). I have no problem with the Pens and like most of the players but I have rarely heard a coach whine as much as Therrien did. I was disgusted with the way that he whined and I honestly believe that even if I weren't a Wings fan it would have made me sick. I appreciate your post and the tone in which you wrote it but respectfully disagree as I truly believe that your coach has been an embarrassment this series.

That being said great play and comeback from your team Monday night and I look forward to another great game tonight and may the best team win.

haha, i'd hardly call a loss by one point in a game that went into triple overtime "crushing". a crushing loss, at least how i understand it would be like what you guys experienced in games one and two.

and, uh. you're still one away from elimination, and we're still one away from the cup so may i suggest you go back to your pens boards while the bandwagon is still full. i'm sure most of the "fans" will get bored and move on to the next exciting thing soon, so you might as well say whatever you have to say in there while there are still people who care to read it.

Let's see, a team is 30 seconds away from a championship, the fans are already celebrating, the Cup has been taken out of its case, and suddenly -- pffffttt! The whole deal taken away in an instant. Nah, nothing crushing about that huh?

Dude, I've heard louder morgues than that arena after that happened Monday.

Now I do agree that Detroit's a lot closer, and Pens fans have no business being all cocky right now.

They won't be able to steal another one the way they did the other night.

But c'mon, saying what happened didn't sting is a bit ridiculous.

Saying the loss stung and saying it was crushing are two completely different things. Does the loss haunt me right now and are the numbers 35 seconds haunting me and stinging, yes.

Crushing? I wouldn't say so, they played well and just came out on the wrong side, theyre professionals, and they know that. They'll be fine. Hardly crushing.

What would have really stung is having to START the party at 2am.... At least tonight the party can start promptly at 10:45pm

I wasn't aware the red wings were posting in that thread. I was speaking on my behalf, not the behalf of others, and yes most of us were heartbroken, but the only people that matter right now on whether they are crushed or not are the wings, and they don't seem to be at all.

No, not so much. I'll admit, though, that the bucket of penguin legs and wings I had for lunch left me a little gassy. The dog won't come near me.

First the thread was started because if is sad to see your whining baby of a coach happy. The tread was started not because the poster was crushed by the loss but nauseaus because of how bad of a sport and big of a baby Therrin has been throughout the finals. Furthermore, many of the posts are joking about how tired they were or sick from eating pizza. Granted there were several fans that were very upset but it was not a devostating loss in that it took the best game that Flurrey has played, the worst that Ozzy has played in the playoffs this year, 3 OTs, a goal with your goalie pulled, and a goal shot in by one of the Wing's players in order for the Pens to get the win. I am not saying that to take away from the Pens victory, they played hard and got a good win BUT the disappointing part was that we thought the cup was most likely won which is vastly different from the Pens play crushing the Wings (for example see the way that the Pens lost games 1 and 2). It was deeply disappointing that the Wings outplayed the Pens and still lost but there is no feeling that the Pens play in anyway dominated the Wings or that their actual play crushed them. A 4-3 triple overtime loss is disappointing but a 4-0 victory is a crushing defeat. At least thats my take on it.

...I'll get nervous when the Wings are down by a goal in game 7 (if necessary) with 34 seconds to go. Man, they were that close!!! I really didn't see what happened, how the heck did they not get the puck out of the zone? Guess I was blinded by the Stanley Cup images in my eyes (as were some of the Wings I think.)

...anyhow, Wings will win tonight if they play with the effort they played with last game. Take away Kronwall's "goal" and the Wings win. Bounces happen, oh well. Fortunately Bounces don't happen like that every game. Game winning goals don't bounce of ref's skates every game. You don't get called for 4 penalties overtime ever, Hudler's was a good call, but the two goalie interference plus Pittsburghs hooking call were ALL crap! This is OT, let them play! BTW, Hudler's penalty could have been let go, I seem to remeber Lidstrom getting a highstick in the chops that drew blood and BOTH refs looked the other way...

...Bounces happen, penalties are called, non-penalties are called. Bounces happen, for some reason I believe we are gonna see a bounce again tonight, Pittsburgh being bounced. I was hoping to see the Cup won in Detroit, but game 6 will do...

Since people in the Burgh really have only one team to follow annually (The Stillers), I can see how your disposable household income may be much easier to come by and therefore more people having the ability to spend on going to a game.

It's funny, but from when I was working in the Burgh, and still have close contact with people from the Burgh, they tell me that "if our hockey team would have been selling out like it has since they've recently started be a good team, NONE of this Bull Sh&^ would have ever happened with almost loosing our team."

When the Pens weren't good, what we're you all spending your money on?

WOW--

WOW--

...now now, gonna play devils advocate here. The Wings have been winning for a VERY long time. They have been good since about 1987. BUT, when the Dead Wings were playing in the late 70's and early 80's, nobody went to those games either. I remeber my mom's store (Perry Drugs) used to get her free tickets from somewhere ( I was very young) and we used to go all the time. We went to one of the first games at the Joe and even when Ilitch bough the team, he had car give-away's to intice fans to come to the Arena. So even the Wings fans were doing something else when the Wings weren't winning. Back in the early 80's all we had were the Tigers and that's pretty much where our money was spent when it comes to sports...

...back on subject, I will be praying for a win tonight, but I am very comfortable if the Wings need to come back home for game 7. Just hate giving these Pens more and more confidence. I think if Malkin can get something to go in, he'll light it up after that, lets keep him down Wings and bring that Cup home tonight!!!
