I'm officially on the Fire Marinelli bandwagon. Blow up the organization. Not that I wasn't already on the Fire Millen bandwagon about four or five years ago. Everyone from Millen on down to the ball boy needs to be thrown out on their ass. What a pathetic clownshow.

When I go home for Thanksgiving, I'll be pulling for the team to win, because I can't help myself when I actually watch the games - it's like someone throws a YAY LIONS switch in my head. When I'm not watching the team, I hope they get blown the f*** out 62-3 every ******* game so the ******* f***ups running the show have to either clear the f*** out or live with their complete ******* failure and total ******* inability to perform a ******* job. I hope it is killing them inside, but I'm betting not.

I don't blame the players. They're just players. There've been some cancers, but for the most part they're just players. If there wasn't giant black hole of f***upitude sitting in the Ford Field offices, they'd be scattered around the league being harmlessly inept for other teams, and probably at least getting decent coaching. It's not their fault Assclown Millen brought them all into one place and Assclown Marinelli can't coach them. Marinelli made sure "his" kind of guy got brought in - apparently he prefers No Talent to Talent. Millen seems to prefer Talent but wouldn't know what Talent is if it ran him over with a ******* bus.

f*** MILLEN.

Soo...... you're not happy?

Edit: LOL!!! Just watching the replay of the Saints/Broncos game and they mentioned the Lions are 31-84 since 2001. LOL that's even worse than I thought it was!!

I'm pissed.

Unfortunately I'm acutely aware of the record in the Millen era. Just think: Next year they can make it 100 losses. This should not be hard as they're looking at easily 10 more this year alone.

This bye week is coming at a sucky time. Bye weeks are a great time to step back and assess what you've got, which means they're a great time for some firings to happen. Mariucci got fired during the bye week. Sadly it's early in the year, which means the Kool-Aid is still in full effect at Clown HQ. Millen's all claiming "I see good things happening in practice" but he has no idea what to look for.

0-16. I believe.

Would crack me up if they got the top pick and the player refused to sign. Not that I would blame the kid. Who in their right mind would want to play for the Lions? Beyond cashing a check this team has nothing to offer. Instead they will probably just win enough games to get a questionable pick and get a non impact player. Or in other words standard operating procedure.

Soooooooooooo

Can't tell you how many jumpers there are on the 4-0 pre-season bandwaggon. I laugh because people honestly believed this franchise was about to turn around.

Lions lack what every NFL team needs.....heart.

No NFL player wants to be known as someone that lacks effort or has no heart but this team does...and I dont see anyone caring. I don't blame all the players for this tho. That has to squarely lie on management. Fire Millen and Marinelli. Fire them today and maybe this team can turn it around for next year. Ford will not sell his team even tho everyone wants him. The least he can do is put someone in charge that ACTUALLY knows what they are doing. They need to do that now.

oh and Dick Jauron has his team playing well and Buffalo is 3-0. I wish we had him running this team now.

Didn't Millen rave about Boss Bailey too? And then well, let him walk.

Per Freep:

Ford and three newspaper reporters were walking from a Cobo ballroom to a smaller room for a news conference. A reporter asked Ford what he thought of the Lions’ performance Sunday, a 31-13 loss at San Francisco.

Ford’s first response was to ask if his response would be on or off the record, but Ford then said he wanted it to be on the record.

“It was an embarrassment,” he said. “The fans deserve better. And if I had the authority, I would have fired the general manager.”

Millen’s exact title is president and CEO.

About 15 minutes later, in front of a larger crowd of reporters, Ford was peppered with more Lions-related questions.

“It’s been disappointing,” he said then. “I think the fans deserve better. And if it were in my authority, which it’s not, I’d make some significant changes.”

Ford was asked if he believed Millen should leave the team.

“Uh, yes, I do,” Ford said.

You believe Millen should leave?

“I’ve said what I’m going to say.”

I really hope Millen doesn't have to accumulate 100 losses to get the arse. Is anyone else kinda rooting against them in the hopes that WCF surely can't ignore an 0-8 start?

If WCF can ignore 31-81 in seven full seasons, he surely can ignore an 0-8 start. I don't think Millen will ever be fired based on how bad the team is, otherwise he'd have been long gone already. It will take more instances like Bill Ford yesterday, and pressure from other embarrassed people in the organization, to get Millen out of here.

Yeah, well it's a pretty damning statement from Jr. and if the team continues to go from weakness to weakness, more comments like this will continue to surface and that is what we need. It probably wouldn't hurt for Moronelli to go too. Maybe Kitna can coach. He couldn't make decisions any worse than he does when the pass rush is on.

It is a damning statement, and it is exactly what we need. I just don't see WCF being moved to action any time soon. He has a long and inglorious history of waiting way too long to fire people. Darryl Rogers literally had to ask "What's it take to get fired around here?" when he realized he'd have been gonzo in any other organization.

Drew Sharp actually said something smart on ESPN that we should remember.....It was Jr's idea to hire Millen in the first place, but hey at least the guy knows when things need change.

Back then everyone wanted Millen.

Anyone got any ideas of who to replace Millen with?

Alfred E. Neuman? A rabid skunk? Who cares? Who could possibly not be an improvement?

I don't think there's any "hearsay" about Cowher, it's just that he happens to be unemployed and people are wishing. I doubt anyone in the Lions organization is seriously considering the idea, because nobody in the Lions organization is that bright.

I am fine with either Cowher or Schottenheimer. Give them both GM and head coach. Hell, lure Pete Carroll away from USC and pay him a ton of money.

The reason I wouldn't want Marty is because that guy can't get over the hump, but I guess it is a fine option because the Lions are miles away from that hump to begin with

I don't think Pete Carrol's style of coaching would be successful in the NFL (it's already happened once). Maybe he learned his mistakes, but he would be dumb to leave everything USC has to offer, but if the Reggie Bush thing keeps coming up who knows.....
