T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 After ripping the Flames for 11 goals in 2 games, Vancouver is held to 2 shots on goal the first perioed, 1 the second, and 7 for the third. Must be because Fed's was playing D. I would have liked to see him playing D. IF I get Center Ice On Line, will I be able to replay the game?

Guest LivingtheDream Report post Posted October 14, 2008 Maybe! Feds might be able to play until he is 50 if he switches to D. As good as he was, my God, if he could have checked the drama at the door he might have been one of the best ever. The guy is/was the most complete all around player you could ask for. I have the Wings commemorative DVD set with the top 7 all time games of his era team and in the infamous Turtle Lemieux game he was playing D. It was weird to see and remember those times. I think the Caps are a great match for him. I thought he looked really good in the playoffs last year and had more of a jump and spark then we have seen with him for a long long time. eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 Jimmy Devellano said that Fedorov would have won the Norris if he stayed on D. This was at the beginning of Lidstrom's streak of Norris nominations. If Fedorov would have been the best defenseman in the league all those years Lidstrom was...it really makes you wonder how great a career he could have had if he had stayed on defense after Bowman tried it out. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 If he stays at defence, the Caps get alot better, espicially if Nylander stays healthy, because then they gain a top 4 defenceman and a top 6 forward.

Bourque, Blake, Lidstrom, Chelios, Leetch, Pronger, Niedermayer, Macinnis... It's tough to say he would have won it, but then again, who knows.

Chase 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 One of the guys in the studio said that "Caps played Red Wings Game". I wouldn't mind Caps - Wings Stanley Cup Final! That would be sweet... seeing the two most exciting Russians, or just hockey players, Datsyuk and Ovechkin go head to head would be pretty cool.
Tane 17 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 Also it would give us the Distinction of knocking off the two best Players (Or Biggest Stars) in the league - Crosby and Ovechkin...Arguably the top 3 With Malkin

Barrie 900 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 The Leafs had six in one game against New Jersey in a playoff game in 2000 or 2001. I'll never forget that game. The night before the Avs eliminated the Wings in the playoffs. I heard about it from some people I knew who were Leafs fans. They were really quiet the day after that game, and were really p.o.ed at me I gave them a hard time about 6 shots on net. If I remember correctly, it also eliminated the Leafs from the Playoffs. If you give it you gotta take it.
