I feel bad for this guy -

"Tomorrow I will be attending my first ever Red Wings game! I am extremely excited and I have been looking forward to this day for months. Never did I expect it was going to be such a good game when I looked at the schedule at the beginning of the year."

Well, I can take one positive from this...it's looking like my weekend pick for this game is correct. <_<

Did you pick it before or after the game started, because otherwise.....

No use straightening out the defense tonight, I agree with someone who posted above me. Now it's time to go all offense and obliterate them and figure out the defense later (i.e. change the system).

Yup. That sounds about it. Ozzie only got 16 shots last night. Hes not too tired. Give him the opportunity to prove himself and maybe we can win this thing 5-4 or so.

I really don't see this team turning a 0-3 game around right now.. even when we dominate puck possession, we barely get any quality chances. It's just grinding in the corners and half-hearted shoting attempts with 7 players in the shooting lane.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't think it's going to happen.

The defense is just playing really, really bad. I don't know where it comes from. It's all the same guys that were playing lights out hockey six months ago. But they gotta figure something out. This won't cut it forever.

That's what's so hard to figure out. These guys aren't old, except for Raffy and Lids, but they didn't age that much in 6 months. They're highly skilled and disciplined. No changes to defense from last year and yet no one is playing well. Illogical.

Agreed. This game vs. Boston and the game last month against San Jose are examples of what happen when we play a legitimately good all-around team. Something is seriously wrong with this team and it's been said that all will work itself out for the last 20 games. That doesn't appear to be the case.

Wings look slower than Boston. Not sure it is actual skating speed or just hard work by Boston but Wings are often late to the puck.
