YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted November 30, 2008 Hudler has played like a wuss tonight. You pick on the smallest guy on the team who has the only goal? His job is to bring the offense, which he has this season AND this game.

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted November 30, 2008 You know what would be interesting? Replacing Raffy with Ericcson or someone. "You wanted a NTC, so enjoy." That sounds harsh. I'm not ganging up on Raffy, but it'd send a message to the team that no one is safe.

wingfan1991 221 Report post Posted November 30, 2008 (edited) Of course they're trapping! They've each been up 3-0 on the defending Champs. We'd probably employ the trap too in that situation too. Neither the Bruins or Habs started out playing that way. did you watch the start of either games? doesnt sound like you did. wings trap at 3-0? ya ok .. thats why every team comes back and ties it practically every game with a big lead (*** with ozzie in net that is). Pasha13 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2008 i say when homer gets back, the big line from last year is reunited, or they're at least together on the PP...it wouldnt take them long at all to gel again...we would still have a gnarly second line with hossa and mule playing together with maybe a filppula centering

YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted November 30, 2008 doubt it, you actually have to be able to play defense to play the trap Haha. I meant being a "lesser team" playing against the defending Stanley Cup Champs. But yeah, we all know what we do with 3-0 leads..
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted November 30, 2008 Good save, Ozzie. This game doesn't have a "they're better than us" feel to me, it has more of a "our guys don't give a f*** tonight" feel.
haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted November 30, 2008 Quincey DID have an awful camp. Im just wondering how it came down to deciding on Quincey in training camp, though. Its a baffling situation, but it looks like a big mistake now. I dont think Quincey would be doing as well as he is on LA, naturally, with those 3.5+ minutes of PP time per game, but hed definitely be better than Lebda, if not other guys as well. Agreed. People are talking about him here because of his stats, but honestly it's not the points. Those may go away and he certainly wouldn't be getting those opportunities on the Wings. But even if he weren't on the PP and his minutes were down to 15, he's just playing good solid hockey for the Kings. He's still learning but usually makes the solid play, and has even had some nice up ice rushes. Then I look at Lebda and think how bad he would look if he were playing those kinds of minutes for the Kings right now. Not to mention Quincey is 3 years younger, plus he's bigger and more physical. We always have off games like tonight offense-wise. Every season we struggle with cycling and then get it together. What worries me is the defense. Leave the offensive lines alone. As if that fluke goal can be the defence of a guy has been invisible all night and whos blind pass due to him being afraid to take a hit almost set up goal number 5. I have to say whatever happened to those 40 questionable calls that lead to 3 on 5's in the 3rd against the winning team? where are those when you need em? So much for Happy playing soft: Dats/Hudler/Z only ones that have balls on the team, Lids is just playing great but never is a in your face player.

Again, nice timing to pick on Hudler, right as he comes up with a great offensive read and almost nails his second goal of the night. You're an idiot. Go pick on Lilja for not dropping the gloves and contributing to goals against as opposed to goals for. Or Kronwall, who is -2 yet hasnt laid a bigh hit all game. Or Stuart, you know. Whichever.
