CrossoverThrash 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 This tells me you dont even watch the games. It's not all skill, it's all heart. Any WJC game is more physical then a regular season NHL game. Big hits, high intensity, from the skill guys and the grinders. I know your a guy that loves big hits, tune in to a Germany or a Canada/USA game, tons of hits the whole game long THere's tons of hits in collge hockey too, but the hits in junior hockey are more about injuring the other player rather than taking them off the puck, the hits are no where near the caliber of NHL hits. I watched the ger/us game, it was a slaughter, lots of elbows, whats entertaining with that?

It's merely complementary to the NHL or other leagues as well. I don't see why it has to be one or the other (to CT's point of contention regarding one being greater than the other) or pinning one against the other. They're both the same sport. stactum 4 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 I love World Juniors. Just don't like the fact that Russia year in and year out keep loosing to Canada in the Final.

Guest Shoreline Report post Posted December 28, 2008 (edited) 13-0 for Canada with 5-6 mins left in the 3rd. I mean, this is like a pee wee team Canada is playing against. One of the Kaz players was booted with a match penalty for I guess giving a ref the finger. Edited December 28, 2008 by Shoreline
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 I hate games like this, honestly. Canada is just running them over, no intensity like in the tight WJC games. That's my favorite part of this tournament, cant wait for the Canada/USA game!! lol as I post this Tyler Myers scores to make it 15-0 Canada.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted December 28, 2008 (edited) Funny thing is Gord or Pierre predicted a 15-0 score based on the previous game's score and how badly the Germans beat them. Won't ever doubt either of those two. Edited December 28, 2008 by Shoreline

Good to see Ottawa showing appreciation for the Kazachs, they handled themselves well.

Good to see Ottawa showing appreciation for the Kazachs, they handled themselves well. Yeah watching those poor guys stand there and one player in particular from the team take a meaningless trophy (should have went to their goalie who started the game) I agree that the fans acted with utter class. Good luck to them in whichever division they end up playing in. Nonetheless it was still kinda funny watching how many the Canadians would get. I was thinking 12 or 13 myself, then the few late goals. Still beats watching the early NHL games. None are interesting at all to me. Guest Shoreline Report post Posted December 29, 2008 Great finish. US wins 4-3. Offsides on the 5-3 empty net, then missed another after. Oh well.
Doggy 130 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 Sweden played aweful against slovakia in their 3-1 win, Hedman won't be 1st overall thats for sure. Obviously. That was bulls*** when someone said Hedman should go before Tavares. There's no way that'll happen.
