we've done well in statement games this year. hopefully the pattern continues this week. even if we get one point out of either game, we'll still be in first place on jan. 2 (though the 'hawks do have some games in hand). on the other hand, if we win both in regulation, we'll have our nice lead back.

that being said, it's funny how wings fans think it's the end of the world if we don't win the central. obviously, i'd like to win the central as well, but i'd rather have the situation we're in, where our biggest concern is winning the division, not making it into the playoffs.
