I blame the Ozzy blamers for this

Me too! They just don't get it none of this is Ozzie's fault. How could it be? He won Stanley Cups in the past -- it's obviously Rafalski's (51 points and a +15), Downey's (stupid ass getting a goal and an assist in 2 games), the defense all together, and everything else.

LEAVE OZZIE ALONE.

Why is it that when Osgood has a good game and it finally looks as though things are turning around, this happens?

Because he's a washed up piece of crap. It's like a blind squirrel. They find a few nuts here and there, but you know it's over for them.

CONKLIN NEEDS TO BE NAMED STARTER FROM HERE ON OUT.............LIKE NOW.

Kiss the Cup contender status goodbye in that case.

It's a near-miracle for a little known backup like Conks to walk in and carry a team to a cup. It's not impossible, but certainly not a likely scenario.

WOOO! Downey scores!

I think this is ultimately the reason why you don't make your "deadline" acquisition in July. For a team whos motto was "defense first" against the Penguins, it sure didn't preserve that when it went out and tied up 11.5M dollars in Filppula, Hossa, McCarty, and Downey. Somewhere in there, theres probably the option to save a good 2M dollars for the deadline. Not pro-rated either, mind you.

Hmmm...

Detroit has played two and a half minutes since pulling Osgood and Conklin has seen one shot, and they score a goal and have spent most of the time in the offensive zone. Glad to see the team felt the need to start actually playing once the goalie was pulled.

Wow. 2nd game in a little over a week I've had to turn off.

There cannot be any rational defending of Osgood following this game. Goals 6 and 7 were absolutely inexcusible.

Goodnight everyone, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

who ******* cares at that point? did we look like we were going to dominate and come back from 5-1?

:D

it's all good. time to liquor up and forget there was a game tonight. :(

I think they should release Rafalski after the season and move up Ericcson to play with Lidstrom....

that makes about as much sense as anything and Rafalski has been especially brutal tonight.

As long as he keeps putting up the points though Babcock and some fans will think he's super.

He's brutal every second game.

Okay, so maybe they didn't do Osgood any favors by leaving him in for THAT long...they shoulda known he was falling apart out there...but those last few goals WERE stoppable. We're not asking for him to steal the game...but make a good stop once a period. Sheesh...and YES that's Downey's goal...third straight player of the game honors.

Holy ******* s***balls.

In case anyone cares, I have a venti mocha frapp and some classic coffee cake. Good stuff!

I still have plenty of cream soda and some bacon/cheddar fries.

And yes. Holy ******* s***balls indeed.
