titanium2 867 Report post Posted April 3, 2009 Damn. Can't even imagine. Are the Vancouver jerseys going to have her initials in black on their jerseys/helmets or anything?
Guest E_S_A_D Report post Posted April 3, 2009 Horrible thing to hear, I'm so sorry to hear that. Hang in there Taylor. As a visitor of Jamaica I know those roads are very risky to drive on. I myself would never drive them without an experienced chauffer.

zaxx 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2009 That is so sad. He is just a young man with so much potential. He is making good money, is healthy and should have such a great career. I could never imagine the pain he is going through right now and I wonder if he will be able to return to the NHL this year. He may want to as an escape, the poor man. To him I wish him my condolences.

Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted April 4, 2009 From the Vancouver Sun Canuck teammates feel for Pyatt's 'heart-breaking' loss Ryan Johnson groped for the appropriate words Friday. After all, what do you say when your Canuck teammate and fellow Thunder Bay, Ont., native Taylor Pyatt has just lost his fiancee in a tragic car accident? How are you supposed to handle that? "It's a sickening feeling," Johnson said softly following practice at GM Place. "A nauseating feeling. An empty feeling. To try and imagine what Taylor is going through right now ... it's just sickening, it really is." Thunder Bay is not a big city and the hockey community is even smaller. Johnson has known Pyatt and his family for years and knew Carly Bragnalo as well. Bragnolo, 27, died in Jamaica while on vacation with her family. "She was just a young girl with life in front of her, a great girl full of life and energy and she had a great spirit about her," Johnson continued. "It's an awful situation. It's a huge loss for her family and for Taylor. She was a special individual who is surely going to be missed by a lot of people, especially Taylor at a time where they were just kind of beginning the rest of their lives together. "I just can't imagine the confusion and the pain and the loss he is going through right now. There is not a lot to say except we're praying for the families and that we'll be there for them." Pyatt flew home Friday to Thunder Bay and the team has given him as much time as he needs to grieve. The playoff-bound Canucks are in Edmonton Saturday and will entertain the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday. They have five games remaining in the regular season. Ryan Kesler said he and his wife, Andrea, were very close to Pyatt and Bragnalo. "It's heart-breaking," Kesler said. "Py really cared about her. She was a great person. I couldn't imagine losing someone I'm in love with. They were going to get married in four months. It must be hard for him. "I wasn't able to reach Py when I heard the news so I left a message for him. But what do you say? I don't know." For team captain Roberto Luongo, it was not an easy day. "It's really tough, " Luongo said. "Everyone feels really terrible in here. Our thoughts and prayers are with Taylor and his family, as well as Carly's family. Yes, I met Carly. She was a really joyful person who was high on life. Taylor loved her so much." Added Shane O'Brien, who sits next to Pyatt in the Canuck dressing room: "We all love Pysie in here and we're all thinking about him. It's just a terrible thing but, hopefully, he can get through it. Anything he needs, he's got 20-plus guys that will go through the wall for him. We'll get through this as a family."

YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 4, 2009 Wow, I cant even imagine what that feels like. And from the sounds of it, it sounds like this Sutherland dude was simply taking the corner too sharp, and it cost 'em. I've done my fair share of speeding and stuff, but I'm careful as all get out with a pack of other people in the car. Poor guy. Talk about perspective.
