To be perfectly fair, we're doing an absolutely brutal job cleaning up the slot.

But yeah, we need to get Conklin in there. No controversy, just win this damn game, get Ozzie the rest and come out strong in the next round. It's not getting any better playing on it, and we NEED him 100%.

If he was hurting I have no idea why he even started tonight. We've got this series under control. Conks can handle a start the way the rest of this team is playing. Get the win and give Osgood a week to rest up. Unbelievable that he finished that second even. Even if they weren't scoring those goals, he was obviously in pain and struggling to move and get up. Why on earth risk making it worse when he's played as well as he has?!?!

Babs is prolly gonna let Osgood make the call, but I really think Conks will start the third.

I really, really hope Conklin starts the 3rd, but only if it's because they don't want to make Ozzy's injury worse. If it's because Ozzy's already made the injury from game 3 worse then we're in trouble.

I'm sure regardless how this game goes, Mike Babcock will blame himself why he did not make goalie change somewhere middle 2nd period. Maybe head coach hoped Osgood can play til the end of 2nd and it miscalculation has cost 2 goals.

I'm surprised Conks didn't start the game, we are up 3-0 in the series, fairly comfortable position. Why risk Osgood injuring himself even more when we are going to need him at the top of his game in the next round. That's what pisses me off.

I think Babs will take Ozzie at his word. If Ozzie says leave me in I think he stays in until the Wings give CBJ a lead. Otherwise Oz says this hurts Coach Conkers is my main squeeze, and Conkers goes in.

I can only assume they carefully consulted the medical staff to ensure the injury wasn't something that would be exacerbated if he continued to play. All we can do is hope/pray nothing got worse and that the series is put to bed tonight to give Ozzy the maximum recovery time.
