Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 Beauchemin heading down the tunnel. I don't like to see players hurt, but these teams beating up on each other is exactly why we want this series to go as deep as possible. Duck parade to the box so far. VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 VS says they're playing Ana-SJS, but all I'm seeing is the 2nd period of the Chicago-Calgary game. Damn.
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 VS says they're playing Ana-SJS, but all I'm seeing is the 2nd period of the Chicago-Calgary game. Damn. They are going to switch at some point - should do it now seen as how the Hawks game is essentially over. Come on Ducks, don't let these chokers off the hook.... Turretin 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 I don't like cheering for the Sharks. I think if they escape Round 1 against such a tough foe, they are going to be way more confident going into round 2. Root for the Ducks. Wings want revenge.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 You know what's a grand idea? Taking three penalties in the first ten minutes of a game.
ComradeWasabi 109 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 I didn't know that the party was in the Sharks penalty box. Looks like fun in there.

Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 San Jose's consistently a fast starter the first 10 min in the playoffs. It's the last 50 min that tend to be the problem. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 Geez, do the Ducks even want to try to win this game? Or are they going to just take stupid penalties the whole game? Even a Sharks team with the weight of the world on their shoulders is going to win if the Ducks play with 4 men the whole way.

Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 Corey Perry is like Sean Avery, only he doesn't cross the line nearly as often.
ComradeWasabi 109 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 (edited) Corey Perry is like Sean Avery, only he doesn't cross the line nearly as often. If Avery knew when to just play the damn game they'd be pretty comparable, I agree, although perhaps Avery isn't quite as dirty as Perry is. Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 Talk about undisciplined. That goes for both teams. I like what I see here--if the Wings play one of these teams, you can tell from this game that either is prone to losing their cool when the chips are down. The Wings may take the odd bad penalty, but not 4 in a period.
Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 If Avery knew when to just play the damn game they'd be pretty comparable, I agree, although perhaps Avery isn't quite as dirty as Perry is. Yeah. They're both pretty talented players. Perry can be dirty, but he's not the selfish idiot Avery can be, which is why he is a much more consistently effective player.
