Look, the greatest fear going into the playoffs, Osgood has been answered in spades. Datsyuk and Hossa will get going and once they do it'll make the Ducks make changes which may well free up Zetterberg and Franzen.

If the Hudler-Filppula-Sammy line could pot one it'd be gravy.

Folks, Babcock is losing this series for us right now. What adjustments has he made? None.
Like I said here, the Ducks are getting the line matchup that they want. In Detroit, Babcock let them play Marchant vs Datsyuk and Getzlaf vs Zetterberg, and Carlyle is sticking with it tonight. Edited by Systemfel

As much as the hit numbers make some people drool, I think it's part of the problem. We're too intent on matching their physicality and not enough on playing our game.

40 to go...it has to start now.

But but but... we don't want them to look intimidated physically. And even if they do lose, at least they'll have their "pride" from playing physical. <_<

I agree. Just play your game. You are who you are and you can't pretend to be something you're not just for the sake of entertainment or idiots who get off on the sight of blood.

FIRST, yes - we played a horrible period of hockey. But let's not underestimate the team we're playing against. What you're seeing right now is what I honestly believe are the two best teams in the NHL head-to-head. Whoever wins this series is going to win the Cup, mark my words.

SECOND, people going on about us having more hits need to stop. We had over double the amount of hits last game, too. That's the problem with this team in terms of physicality. It's not that we CAN'T be physical.. it's that when we up our physical presence against a physical team (Anaheim), we lose our focus on scoring. I've seen it countless times throughout the year. We are a FINESSE team. Not a PHYSICAL team. No matter how much that pisses some people off, that's the way it is. Suck it up and deal with it. Everything would NOT be peachy keen if we had someone to drop the gloves skating around the ice. Realize that.

THIRD, we're down by ONE people. ONE. Not five. Not twelve. One. We saw proof last game that we CAN step it up when we really want to - we just aren't. By the way some of you are acting, you'd think we just got swept.

Chill out.

True that. Just one from those guys will break the ice. Even though we're down I think Anaheim would have to be worried that we have it so close with nothing at all from our biggest guns. A Datsyuk or Zetterberg or Hossa goal could open the floodgates.

I really can't get over how bad our "star" players look out there. It is so frustration when they have the talent, but it appears, not the drive.

too much team bonding on the beach today. They should have practiced instead, perhaps. :o
