Hope Wozniewski (however that is spelled) is okay. You never want to see that happen.

There is hope yet though. Good end to the period. Datsyuk has looked much better tonight. See what happens when we get some rebounds?

Sure is a lot of activity in this thread despite all those ******* that turned it in early. Before anyone jumps on my s***, I have to be up at 7:30 and I just cracked another beer. It is the PLAYOFFS. SUCK IT UP.

Well good for you. Do you want a cookie?

Hey, did I sense that we finally awoke at the end of that period? Did the boys think the game started at midnight?

And it wasn't just the goal, we started playing. Like hey, we should probably start skating hard.

Stuart's penalty was BS. The goal was luckbox too.

I think that exhaustion from the last game is the reason why we have come out flat. Now they are playing like they can! This 3rd period will be really interesting.

I bet Wisnewski has a broken arm from that shot!

We'd better come back and win this game because I have a nasty feeling we'll have to do the next one without Homer.

But I like our odds. Best penalty kill we've had in the whole series right there.

Nah, that was accidental. But then again, Campbell wouldn't surprise me.

John Keating is the biggest....

Anyways, I guess Babs finally got the Memo. Some sustained pressure with DIFFERENT lines. Its about fricking time.

Also, the hockey gods must've gotten sick of our key Dmen being the only ones injured.

Better end to that period. Stinks that we had to let the 2nd goal in on that weak call.

If they continue to carry the play, win the battles to the loose pucks, and crash the net on shots, then they'll give themselves chances to bury a few past Hiller.

Zetterberg, Franzen and Lidstrom are the only guys lighting the lamp here. Hossa with 4 total points, none this series, and Datsyuk with three total points one this series.

If Pavs and Hossa cannot do it together play them apart. Hell put Hossa on the thrid line, then you have a superstar on all 3 lines, the Ducks don't have the depth to deal with that.

Sammy or Helm-Pavs-Homer

Fran-Z-Cleary

Hudler-Filpulla-Hossa

Sammy or helm-Kopey-Maltby

It was definitely the puck that hit Wisnieski. An elbow can't do that damage, I had a really good view of it and it was Datsyuk's shot that did the damage.

Remind anyone of the Pronger incident? Wasn't that also against Detroit?

Not really. Both involved the puck hitting the player, but the pronger incident was a lot scarier. As much as I hate Pronger, and as much as he's a bag of duche, I'm glad he's still playing hockey and not six under.

Best of luck to Wiz. I'm worried about that injury, as it seems to be rather serious.

The Ducks don't look as dangerous as they did in Game 1 and 2, but they do have really solid D.

If the Wings can mix up the lines a bit and get some better matchups in the 3rd, and maybe get another PP or two, this is very possible to turn around.

They looked like they had some jump at the end of the 2nd. That was the kind of PK that is a momentum builder.

Could have this, could have that. There is nothing wrong with hoping that Wisnewski is out for the series. My thoughts don't change reality. I'm not saying "man I hope something happens to so and so and he punctures a lung". Something happened. I hope he's out for the series. Get the sand out of your no-no parts.

HAHA.

Oh wait, you were serious here. Sorry. I'll go cry in the corner since the big bad internet screen name said I had sand in my lady parts.

Holy Cow! The Ducks board is going apes*** over Wisniewski.

They, yes..Duck fans, are actually calling us a team of cheap shot artists.

Is it just me or did anybody else watch that clip and see Niedermayer tying up Holmstrom and Homer kind of losing his balance and his left arm going back. Did Holmstrom even know that Wiz was there? I'm thinking no.

Great PK kill and much better playing end of the 2nd. Let's keep the pressure on them, keep putting shots on Hiller and crashing the net looking for rebounds and he'll crack.

The wings had a bit of momentum at the end of the 2nd, that with a few mix ups in the lines could be good, time will tell

Oh, Refs OWE us some calls. How the hell can they call Stuart for playing hockey. Jesus, these refs suck!

If the score does not change, I will be PISSED that we lose because of that BS call

Not a bad period stats wise: Wings 17 shots, Ducks 6 for a total of 28-20 edge for the wings. Faceoffs are a worry tho, Ducks are beating us there 23-19. I miss Drapes...

Faceoffs are ok...Ducks won something like 9 of the first 10, which means we've been killing it lately.

MUCH better period...keep it going in the 3rd and we'll be ok. But please get two, I can't do OT again.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned--Anaheim's top line isn't owning us down low like in games 1 and 2. Much better job on those guys.

I don't think so; THere was no intent and he was hooked off balance and the elbow occured during the attempt to maintain his balance.

Lines have to be changed up. Ducks are smothering our forwards right now and they can't get loose. Gotta give em a different look.

And yes, the Pronger shot to the chest was here, I was at that game and the silence in the stands was unbelievable.

I can't let my emotions get the best of me, I really hope Wisniewski is ok. Looking back at it, it was kind of scary to see him bent over with dark blood coming from his mouth. When it comes down to it someone getting badly hurt or at risk of dying is not something to be taken lightly.
