South Dakota wings fan 7 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 Yeah i have the big bulky Comcast package as well, no NHL network. The only way they will allow me to include NHL Network is if i buy this ABSURDLY priced sports package, which includes all NFL, MLB and NHL and i think some soccer stuff... for something like 700 a year. No thanks. NHL needs to get their act together i can't believe they still operate like a 2 year old organization. Sounds to me like more of a cable carrier issue than an NHL issue. Hossa7.4 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 The NHL should be giving away its product in as many places as possible. Don't just plaster "Thank You Fans!" behind the blue line for a season, do something to actually allow us to watch your game, since you decided to reject ESPN's lowball offer! I have Comcast in Minnesota, I paid for a premium tier AND a sports tier (I'm pretty sure) and neither of those gets me NHL Network or Center Ice. I do have MLB Network, which I'm coming to appreciate more and more. I don't think they show MLB games on there, but at least I can get news and live updates on baseball, if I so desire. So basically, I think I'm S.O.L. for Game 5. There's a bar with a satellite TV near my house, I think I'll be going there and hoping they can hook me up. after the strike, at least for me, Center Ice when up in price! I thought that was rather strange coming off a year long lockout. MLB Network does show games during the week. Thats on the lowest level of regualar digital cable for me. here is a link from TSN's site where acheived games are. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=684 they WILL have Game 5 on there, but I don't think it works live, just sometime after the game. There are other Wings games on there now. No software to download and totally free. I tested watching game 4 and it worked great. the second period automatically loads at the end of the first one. Periods are about 35mins in length due to commericals being cut out. there's also internet streaming of live games at various sites. Enjoy.

Mine is $96/year. You might want to check the pricing, again.

evilmrt 636 Report post Posted May 9, 2009 Well, I checked the Directv listings and it is indeed on Nhl Network in HD, which is great. But if its not exclusive, why isn't it on Center Ice? I want to watch the FSD feed, and I haven't been able to get ONE FSD playoff feed this year for the playoffs. Pretty lame, considering we're all paying more for this. Also, whats up with the lack of TSN HD and CBC feeds on CI this year?
T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted May 9, 2009 This is bull. Now I got to watch it from computer. Yeah, I gotta watch it on hockeywebcasts.com. And did you really sleep with Thomas Vokoun? I would'nt normally ask a girl, but a girl wouldn't normally have it as her screen name, either, though.

NHLrules? 32 Report post Posted May 10, 2009 You just saved me from having a stroke. Can we add that to the network coverage list on the front page so others can see it? All my NHL net schedule says is, NHL on the fly.
