He has no intentions of waiving his no-trade clause, and is set to make 13 million over the next two years. But if asked to waive the NTC, he said they will talk.

I am curious to see if Anaheim decides to shed his salary and move him. Me personally I hope he goes back to his hometown of Montreal.

If Gainey comes to his senses and realizes Price is not ready, I wouldn't count him out of Montreal.

That's a big "if", though.

I think Montreal needs to go out and find a goaltender. Price is not the answer for that type of pressure packed environment. I bet Gigure is probably a lot more capable of doing a good job. I am curious if they (the montreal fans) are a little more excepting or forgiving with one of their own? Being that Jiggy is from Montreal.

Hiller is set to make 1.3 million next season. After next season he becomes a UFA.

Any which way, Anaheim has a lot of decisions to make this summer. Just to name a few, Marchant, both Nieds, Beauch, Jiggy, Wisnieski, and others.

My prediction is that he beats out Hiller for the starting job and that Hiller fades away a la Boucher style. Giguere is a huge money goalie. The Ducks would be crazy to let hime get away based on solid half year by no-name.

I wouldn't be so quick to ship Jiggy if I were the Ducks. Hiller was decent, but I wasn't blown away by him. He was facing a lot of perimeter shots and giving up lots of juicy rebounds.

And if Pronger is gone and Neids retires, they're going to realize just how mediocre Hiller is. Doesn't the media get tired of these one hit wonders? You'd think they'd learn and stop calling every hot goalie the next great thing. We've had what, 15 of those in the last couple of seasons? "The next Patrick Roy!" only to disappear the next season.

Dan Ellis and probably now Pekka Rinne come to mind.

I hope he fades away right into a Red Wings jersey for 1 million a season starting in 2011.

Giguere's head is over inflated like his salary. A million dollars a year? Who can live on that?

A million a year would probably be tight if living in Anaheim, actually. :P

I can guarantee there's not a single duckie living in Anaheim proper. Not ONE.

But you're right.

A million dollars, (especially after taxes, union dues, escrow payments, etc.), doesn't really go that far hereabouts.

Not far at all.

Anaheim is actually pretty nasty. The palm trees in front of the Honda Center really give the area a false impression of it being nice. I wouldn't live there. Too many tourists there 24/7. It's not overly expensive to live there. If you hop back on the fwy heading south towards the beach, thats where it's pricey. I can guarantee you, not one of the Ducks players lives in Ana'crime' or Ana'slime'!!

Being from the opposite end of the continent and in a different country, I just kind of assume that Anaheim is part of LA (thank you Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim). A million a year around here would let you pay for your house pretty much in cash, but I guess that's a little different in California eh? :P

The cost of living here is just getting out of hand. I feel like we pay more and receive less. I am actually thinking about moving back to Canada. These athletes that have so much money, it's perfect for them.

No wonder players like to play in Anaheim. Good weather, beaches, lifestyle, etc.

Anaheim would be a great place to play in, sure. I think I'd still rather live in Canada, though. I would actually miss the snow.

agreed.. he's pricy, but one good playoff showing doesn't mean Hiller will be exactly the same next season... Whatever happened to Brian Boucher?

I didn't speak well for Hiller when the commentators were openly discussing how Hiller's pads were so tall that they blocked the five hole and that they would likely be made illegal by next season.

It seems like a bit of a trend with good, young Anaheim goalies.

Last i checked, Giguere was a 1-hit wonder in the 2003 playoffs...

If they can get rid of Giggy, more power to them, They've got Hiller now they can add another piece to there puzzle. I'm not convinced they can get much out of him. If i was Anahiem i'd try and see if i could maybe get Higgins or atleast the negotiating rights to Komi out of the deal.
