What a sloppy first period. Wings still looking for the cute play with the open ice they didn't get with Anaheim. Guys on power play are standing around rather than quickly moving the puck and/or players to open up lanes and teammates... Pretty bad all around, though Osgood looked great.

Very similar to Game 1's first period. Getting the tying goal is huge. I'm wondering what the Wings have to do in order to stop giving up power play goals. Their PK has been sensational, but then the opposing teams get cheap little goals at the side of the net or, like tonight, off a defenseman's skate. You can't really do anything about it, but it's still tough.

You know, in Europe if a soccer referee messes up on calls, they get suspended with no pay and they accumulate negative points that could cause them to go and referee in the minors. That point system is available to be seen by everyone too

Holy s*** am I glad I didn't see any Wings fans embarrassing themselves in that Fanarchy commercial. The executive who thought of that show needs to be kicked out on his ass and sent to work for QVC until he's 95. I can't think of a worse idea for a TV show that I've ever seen.

How was a back door play a fluke?

Especially off a puck that should have EASILY been cleared.
