81Hossa81 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) take a look around the Pens forums... All you'll find are articles about how big of a joke Detroits fans and its organization really are. (in terms of class) You guys really disgraced yourselves. Edited June 16, 2009 by 81Hossa81
RedWingsRox 614 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 I've never liked his blogging before ... now I hate him and will not read anything that punk writes. Get a real job instead of being an overpaid blogger.
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 First of all it's written by a Chicago Blackhawks blog, and just posted on PuckDaddy. Secondly, I think PD has done that kind of mocking eulogy thing for every team knocked out of the playoffs. It's all in good fun.
egroen 384 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 That was one of the better eulogies, actually. :beerbuddy:

S_Whitney 1 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 a moribund city quickly descending into hell Okay, our team didnt play well in the final two games, and we probably deserved to be criticized (but not insulted) because I don't think anyone can deny the fact that the red wings has been one of the greatest team in professional sports in the past decade. a moribund city quickly descending into hell and this is really insulting the city of detroit. No respect at all. People are losing their jobs and homes, and this is no joke man. Imagine your city is in the same situation. would you want someone to write something about your city like that? (in terms of class) You guys really disgraced yourselves. How quick people are to forget how much whining Pittsburgh did last year (and this year as well). Its comical, really, to see all this stuff about how "classless" Detroit is. This, the organization that actually puts for the effort year in and year out, to compete, instead of bottom-feeding in the standings and the subsequent high picks; the organization that actually lets fans of other teams buy tickets to its hockey games; the organization that hands out Stanley Cup Rings to winners of Cups from decades past. The organization that treats its fallen employees as fallen family members. And above all, the organization that has players clamoring to wear their jersey year in and year out. Some people booed bettman and players had comments about hand shake traditions. Non wings fans have been desperately grasping for straws all the time when it comes to ammunition they can use to exaggerate or apply some sort of generalization to the fans or organization. Which is why I think the citizens of Pennsylvania are taint punchers and tommy chong haters. I've always liked puck daddy though. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) Greg does this to piss people off. Read the disclaimer above, he wants people to read this and hate it. No biggie, he's trying to be funny, some parts were, some parts were grasping at straws, but really, who cares. nvm mad rant Edited June 16, 2009 by Detroit # 1 Fan
#18 the _Hoss_ 2 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 But frankly, any city that inflicts upon society the plagues that are Eminem and Kid Rock deserves whatever befalls it, and no argument can be made about that. This is NOT funny.

BlakChamber 8 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 I saw this yesterday. I'm surprised it took so long for the outraged, humorless crowd it pick up on it. Hossa's playoff performance reminded me of myself and my method for meeting women. Basically stand around and hopefully someone else will do the work for you, and you can just pick up the prize.
