akustyk 84 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 Damn. if you're Hedman fan you better be thanful for this. because in Tampa Hedman will at least stand a chance to win anything in future. and Islanders will surely find a way to f* it up yet again

YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 John Tavares has the personality of a bread crumb. Or Sidney Crosby.

Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 John Tavares has the personality of a bread crumb. Or Sidney Crosby. Ouch. That's got to hurt the bread crumbs out there.

P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 John Tavares has the personality of a bread crumb. Or Sidney Crosby. Was he one of the bread crumb prospects in the Coach's Corner who said that their favourite player growing up was Crosby?
Probie 7 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 For anyone wanting to watch the draft live there are a few good streams to watch on this page: http://www.myp2pforum.eu/nhl-icehockey/398...ft-streams.html From that page I'm watching this stream from it right now and its ok: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/TML-Live
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 Was he one of the bread crumb prospects in the Coach's Corner who said that their favourite player growing up was Crosby? He was. Matt Duchene grew up an Avs fan? Man, that has to be awesome for him. Hopefully they don't trade down.

Jasper84 333 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 Duchene seems like a great kid, I could see myself being a fan, despite being an Av now.
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 Was he one of the bread crumb prospects in the Coach's Corner who said that their favourite player growing up was Crosby? That was hilarious. Everyone said Crosby except the smart kid who picked someone he actually watched growing up.
P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 Every team is saying the same things in the beginning. "Montreal fans, congratulations to Pinkqueens..." Stupid.
Theophany 110 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 (edited) How sick is that for Duchene? Getting drafted FIRST ROUND by your favorite team that you watched growing up and possibly getting to play on the same team as one of the guys that you idolized as a kid (Sakic). I bet this is the happiest he's been his whole life thus far. Edit: To put this in perspective, try conceptualizing getting drafted by the Wings in the first round and getting to play with Yzerman or Lidstrom, who you grew up modeling your game after. YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 Duchene seems like a great kid, I could see myself being a fan, despite being an Av now. Of all the guys, he seems most likeable so far. Kane was pretty good too. Although Hedman gets a bit of a bye - its hard to be funny/sarcastic when you arent speaking in your first language.

Johnny Diamonds 25 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 The draft coverage online blows. TSN,SPortsnet.ca,ESPN. There's no links to player profiles and video highlights etc. I'm watching the draft on tv but I'm interested in futher info and it seems there is hardly any to be found. Although Hedman gets a bit of a bye - its hard to be funny/sarcastic when you arent speaking in your first language. I liked Kane a lot. Hedman seems cool by his body language, but he's held back by the language- I can't hold it against him. I loved the shop talk with Duchene
