MadMan Mark 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Is it just me or are Hossa and Kopecky TOO close? They can have him. He'll be hurt and at $1.2M/yr, way too much for his services.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Kopecky Hossa Henrik Daniel That might explain the disparity in skill between Hossa and Kopecky. Hossa's term as a fetus was 9 months -- Kopecky's was almost 4 years.
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Kopy has potential to be worth that money. He showed glimpses of it towards the end of this season. I'm sure this helped Hossa's decision. He knew the Wings couldn't keep Kopy, but the Hawks said they'd sign him as well. This feels a bit strange. Gonna be weird playing against both of them a ton of times next season. Redwingsfan18 1 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 1.2 mil! hahahahaha hes worth a penny a year So sad. Maybe Hossa told Kenny the only way he stays is if Tomas stays, Kenny said hell no, Hossa left and went to the first team that would take him and Tomas. Chicago bent over and said sure Marian. Thats exactly how it went down.

NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 I don't mind seeing Kopecky move on one bit. He didn't bring much of anything to the table, and certainly not for $1.2 per.

LeftWinger 5,153 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Well, if this does have Bowman written all over it (Waaay overpaymen for Kopy) but that is gonna cost you guys Hudler. If Kopecky gets $1.2 on a contender, what does Hudler get? Maybe Bowman will sign him up too, at $3.5? Bowman DOES love himself some Hudler....
gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Yeah, LGW > Scotty Bowman when it comes to putting together a hockey team. Oh wait... I'm no Kopecky fan, but I fear and respect Bowman and he's in the thick of this Chicago madness. Out of respect, I trust that he knows what he's doing. And that scares me. Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Is this a joke? I honestly thought it was a joke thread when I saw the title. Then I start reading and realise that it's not. I'll miss you Kopes.

I'm no Kopecky fan, but I fear and respect Bowman and he's in the thick of this Chicago madness. Out of respect, I trust that he knows what he's doing. And that scares me. I think it was less Scotty's maneuverings and more Hossa wanting to have his buddy come along for the ride.
