Malkin seemed to avoid detection for his late game indescretions...Do you think there's a chance that other players will go unoticed as well

A few did at the end of a certain Wings'-Ducks' playoff game as well.

They'll suck and not be allowed to touch *****-boy or *****-ass without being penalized. So that sucks just like them.

I don't know man. Teams like the Flyers do a lot of things that could be called penalties. The refs are not going to call every single thing; probably not even the majority of things that should be penalities in today's NHL. That wouldn't be good entertainment because you'd have too many stoppages in play and crappy flow to the game. The Flyers, if they had the right pop, could hack and whack to the extent that the Refs don't know what to call and so they call the stuff that "isn't as bad as some of the other awful things." Trouble is, with that Flyers roster, they could really amp up that degree of badness, or whatever you want to call it.

Sorry, It's all in good fun. I dont have a problem with you.

Leafs are the most improved team when it comes to toughness and Honestly, the Flyers next year, if they can have Cote, Carcillo, Asham and Lappy in the line-up, that is stout. I just wish there backend had mroe toughness, Hatcher and Smith was a really nasty 1-2 combo back there 2 years ago. But when you have Cote, Carcillo, Asham and Lappy in the line up. Your not going to lack toughness ever.

and to everyone putting broad street bullies 2.0, please give your reasoning. you cannot play like that anymore without getting punished.

I did because I don't think they'll be marginal, nor do I think they will fail. It was the only choice left.

They won't be 2.0 of course. As you say, that can't happen. Maybe they'll be Broad Street Bullies of the New Century. Or Broad Steet Bullies a la Bettman. Or BSB:TNG.

Anyway, I just chose it becuase it was the closest to what I see happening.

I used to think that was a big problem they had too but with Pronger you still feel that way? Maybe not in terms of pure fighting ability but having Pronger, Alberts, Coburn, and Parent those are some pretty big boys who know how to lay the body

They will make the playoffs and are not Bullies 2.0 but I voted bullies 2.0 because they will make the playoffs.

The will be a very entertaining and good team, they may be brutes but they do have some skill there as well.

This.

oh man I forgot they added Emery

I'm so glad next year will have some goalie fights with emery back in the league...

Carcillo, Pronger and Emery are all some pretty good heavyweights

Pronger? Heavyweight? Are you having a laugh? Have you seen the guys fight card? On the rare, rare occasions he mans up and drops the gloves he takes on such reknowned tough guys as Jiri Slegr, Michael Handzus and Dan Cleary (and Handzus was tied up against the boards by the refs, and he poked Cleary in the eye).

He is not "a pretty good heavyweight", he's a bully and a coward. Still, I look forward to him cross-checking Crosby 20 times a game, 6 games per season :)

Post #21 almost made me spit water all over my screen at like 4 a.m.

I'm not sure what your intention was, but my initial thought was that you were saying what a brain dead type comment that was. No offense against the person who said it, but I laughed pretty hard.

Nittymaki should be the starter, Emery backup and Biron should be gone.

My exact thoughts on the subject, the problem is they didn't re-sign Nittymaki (who signed yesterday in Tampa) and Biron is gone. So they're left with a tandem of Emery and Boucher (Nabokov's backup last year). If Emery has anything close to a meltdown, they're screwed.

Will they win a bunch of games? Who knows...

Will they be the MOST entertaining NHL team to watch next year? YES.

Oh, Jeff Carter is a very cool guy btw, talked to him in London a few weeks ago.

It's hard to sustain playoff success like we have for the last three years. I wouldn't be surprised to see us run out of gas like we did in the Finals, only in the WCSF this time.

Me too. But I also wouldn't be surprised if the Wings were to win it all again next year with Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Franzen in their primes as just the tip of the iceberg.
