^See what I mean when I say this place is full of condescending f***wits?

Keep it safe for yourself. Resort to avoiding my whole post and just calling me a newbie. Nevermind I've been here much longer than my reg date shows, it just goes to show if you don't go along with the crowd, you're shunned.

Way to dodge the whole thing, too. Guess we're gonna need a little more room for the chicken s*** coming through, huh ;) Maybe the same opinion with a 2004 reg date would be more to your liking, sunshine.

this goes beyond a forum here pal, you need to chill out and stop acting like everyone is out to get you.. if you want to debate something that's fine but you post like a douchebag and there's no reason to take your post seriously

I agree, the guy makes some good points, but saying "f***wits" makes you sound like a 12 year old trying to be cool.

When the word f***wits accurately describes the way the general consensus here acts, I'll say it. Believe me, a lot of people think exactly the way I do but won't say it. I don't blame them, either, who the hell wants to put up with the inevitable 5 on 1 f***fest that'll ensue when someone doesn't follow the norm? LGW is what it is. It's not just me, either. I've seen over the years quite a few people ragged on for not following the herd.

Watching Canada-USSR hockey for about about 25 year it looks like there is something missing in this generation of Canada's players. Perhaps this is related to replacing Lemeaux with Crosby and Shanny with Lucic, and Robinson with Pronger do not you think so? This is oversimplification of course but something tells me that Canada won't be that successful in the next few years internationally. As a Russian this is perhaps the first time I feel pretty confident meeting Canada at any stage in 2010 Olympic. This is something I did not have since the first game of 1988' Canada's Cup.

ummm I think you're delusional because this is as good as Canada has ever been... Russia has a great team as well but it's really hard to compare the teams (on paper of course) and say Russia overall has an advantage

as good as it has ever been? Who is going to fight for the puck till the last second? Heatley? Thornton? Nash? Do not think so. They are stars, you know. And these are big time guys for team Canada who almost guaranteed their spots.

umm no those are 3 offensive players... if we were defending a lead probably Richards, Morrow, Doan, Crosby, Iginla...

you think Dany Heatley, Joe Thornton, or Rick Nash wouldn't make Russia or something?? the fact that there is a even legitimate discussion regarding players like Heatley (50 goal scorer) and Thornton (100+ points) to make the team speaks volumes of the quality of team Canada could put on the ice... when you have to select from 90 point scorers to decide which of them ISN'T going to make the team(Savard, Spezza)... you're in good shape

they have the best team on paper, period... until 2010 Vancouver we won't know if they have the best team on the ice, but they definitely have the tools to be

Canada's bottom 6 will be warriors who will all fight for pucks. I agree Heatley and Thornton wont, but Nash? He'll dig for pucks. I'm not Crosbys biggest fan, but even the little ******* digs for pucks. Getzlaf digs for pucks, I cant wait for the Olympics, gonna be a hoot

Crosby digs for pucks better than anyone in the NHL.

From cbc dot ca :

Forward Simon Gagné of the Philadelphia Flyers was not on the ice Tuesday as Canada's men's 2010 Olympic hopefuls reconvened at the Saddledome in Calgary.

The 29-year-old Gagné sustained what he believes is a mild injury Monday night at practice.

"I had been skating back home for about two weeks but not at that high level," Gagné told the Flyers' website. "I kind of felt that it was getting a little bit tight on me, close to the hip and groin."

Gagné, who had surgery on his right hip in late May, is heading back to Philadelphia to meet with doctors Wednesday.

raging newbie coming through people, make room

Ok saying Mike Richards isn't a soldier is one of the dumbest if not the dumbest thing I've heard in weeks. I love Helm but he doesn't even compare to Richards at all, Richards is one of the best captains in the game and by far the best young captain. Morrow is not quite the warrior Richards is anymore but man you gotta get out and watch some hockey or maybe take the red and white blindfold off.

I'm thinking the raging newbie title is well deserved.

How come they don't want Maltby back?

Him and Draper could shut down any of the other countries' top lines just like they have before.

It was legit at the time to choose Maltby and Draper for Team Canada. It's really sad to think about how much they've declined. It's getting more and more difficult to actually remember a time when they were effective.

I'm 90% sure he was joking about that

I hope Dano makes this team, he's getting literally no press whatsoever, I'm hoping Babs just lets him play top line with Z&D and get some powerplay time, prove his worth through points. He can be a Canadian warrior, just needs a chance. (Yeah I know it's unlikely, but Newfies gotta pull for one another.)

I read somewhere that Lecavilar/thorton will not be making the team.. It said that Vinny has shown more speed and Thorton... Babcock wants to the run a Detroit type system.. funny thing was it said Cleary is the most comfortable guy in camp right now knowing what Babcock wants to see ..
