It may not have been Osgood's fault, but isn't he supposed to make saves? 4 goals in 14 shots is ridiculous. The defense screwed up again, and once again Osgood was incapable of giving them a hand. Finnish Wing 110 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 (edited) Man I now really see how important Conks was... not saying that he's better than Ozzie, but to have such a good goalie as backup. When you have two good goalies you can always wake up your team with a goalie change. Let's just hope that Howard plays some good games so the team and coaching staff can trust in him when needed. edit: And I'm not blaming only Osgood. But these are the times when you need to shake the team up. Changing goalie doesn't always mean that he's done that bad. But I'm not saying Ozzie has done that well either... They had a great second half last year without Kariya and as we've seen today, Kariya's going to really help them out. I'm not happy with our defense or goaltending here, but give St. Louis credit for pushing and taking advantage of opportunities. Get used to this. The Central's going to be a beast... Tim Thomas and the bruins let in 4, Nabokov let in 5 and the great Luongo let in 4 as well.
