haha, since when is Kopecky good enough to talk like that?

Since he was such a dominant force in the 3-5 games he actually wore the winged-wheel last year. lol

"It'll be fun, and more fun when we beat them," Kopecky told the Chicago Sun-Times on Tuesday.

He also said....

“It would be great if we win,'' Kopecky said. "They are always a hard team to beat. All the teams are always measuring (themselves against) the Detroit Red Wings. When you beat them, it’s a great feeling.’’

What is he talking about. He hasn't even played against Red Wings yet.

I have a stinging feeling that even if the Blackhawks do manage to beat us tonight, the pylon known as Tomas Kopecky will have played no part in said victory. Good riddance.

Haha, what a dummy. I think it's obvious that he's a bit sour about the wings not trying to resign him. I can't really blame him, wings management has actually been quoted in saying "he's replaceable".

I'm gonna be at the game and I'm gonna help make sure Patrick Kane knows how big of a tool we (I) think he is.

My satellite's reception to NHL Network has been gimped the last few weeks so hopefully Center Ice can chip in. No person comes out til Friday, and I wanna see the Wings stick it to Hossa and big mouth Kopecky.

Hossa's hurt.

Question to my local friends, I'm going to the game tonight and this is the first time I've had a chance to go to a home opener. Does anyone have an idea what time all of the team introductions and festivities start? Or in short, do I need to show up earlier than a normal regular season game? I normally get there about 30 min early. Thanks in advance.

warmups usually go about 30-45mins before the drop of the puck... doors open about 1 hour before game time... i would say get there 1-1/2 hours early to make sure you miss nothing.

its pretty nice outside anyways.

I think that it is a shame to sit Maltby, when he's had a good start to the season and had a good post-season. If this is his last year (looks likely, and it's definitely a contract year), give him all the chances you can for him to play his heart out - that is, until he does something (or fails to do something) and therefore merits benching.

I totally and unalterably (yeah, THAT much) agree with you and hooon (later post in this thread) on keeping Maltby in the game. It makes no sense whatsoever to take him out at this point since he has been a major offensive player for the Wings. Can't even figure out why Babcock is even contemplating taking him out. There will always be time for Eaves later.
