I think its good to sit drapes and malts this game. Healthy competition between the checkers will only force them to up their play. Maltby and Draper won't be able to play like they did last year and expect to be on the ice in gmae night. With Helm Abby and Eaves bringing the heat all of the checkers will have to step it up. I like this move.

I agree that if they play the way they did last year (not counting the playoffs, in Maltby's case as he stepped up then) they should be benched - the point is, that they're not playing badly at all. Maltby is injured, I know, but I wouldn't have benched him the game before. Oh well. It will be fun to see Helm I guess, but I'm not sold on Eaves.
