WOW he scores a goal in the shootout, guess that makes him a superstar  he STILL SUCKS

Back up your claims. Saying somebody 'sucks' without any evidence doesn't make you look very informed. Especially when the player scored a GWG and had an assist.

I am so happy that the Wings won. I have not been this excited about a win in a long time.

Now if the Kings can just win their game against the Hawks, my night will be complete!

I know exactly what you mean, like it was mentioned in here before, feels like a playoff win given our recent streak and misfortune.

GO WINGS!!

Either I give in to this horrible anger that accompanies every second of every Wings game now and assume the season is over ...

Or ...

Predict that the Wings win 4-3 tonight and turn this season around.

WAKE UP BOYS AND LET'S FUC***G GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He shoots, he scores.

...and in other news, the first 7 pages of this thread are a laugh riot.

Abby, Eaves, Helm, Miller all deserve looks wtih Datsyuk and Z. They have been playing there collective asses off. Howard def. is proving he should be our starter. Our D needs to learn to actually be able to shoot on the net, Meech/Lebda are still like watching an abortion on the ice. Homer has absolutely no puck control and should probably just be a PP specialist. Cleary really needs to step up, and I'm on the fence about Bert and Leino. Sometimes they both look insanely snack bitten when it comes to points, other thimes tehy just look like they don't give a f*** and play like cowards. Either way I'm happy we won and hopefully this kick starts something. OH and f*** Jackman

Woo, GWG and sucks. Bertuzzi truely is the new Samuelsson.

I hate to be the downer at this party but shoot-out goals don't count towards your stats and as such don't give you a GWG to your name.

Sorry.

Yeah yeah, but it's still a clutch goal. :hehe:

Tonight the Wings were great on special teams:

100% PP success

100% PK success

Just goes to show how critical the PK and PP are to a team.

Also-- how good was Howard? He made some game saving stops tonight. He came up HUGE. Too bad they scored that third goal and hurt his GAA. Still, he won the game and managed to put up a 0.914 sv%.

EDIT:

Oh and the Wings were 58% on the face-off. Another good sign.

:) Speaking of whipping boys being clutch-- Howard played the SO perfectly.

And Ericsson had a good night too. He was on the ice for a goal against-- but Lidstrom and Zetterberg were on the ice for 2 of the 3 goals against.

E did get 28 mins in tonight, played 2:27 of the 4:00 of PK the team had, had only one give-away but made up for that by getting a take-away too. Did I mention that Ericsson was second on the team in ice-time tonight? :) I'm happy for him-- this was a good defensive game on his part. He generated a few scoring chances too. I'd have liked to see him pick up a point or two, but that's not really the role Babcock's given him right now.

Abdelkader was dangerous tonight as well. I'm excited that he's getting time as a 2nd line centre out there when Babs has Dats and Z together. He needs some goals to boost his confidence-- right now they need to be careful not to let him think he's only a checker at the NHL level-- he's got the chops to possibly be something more.
