It seems like Babcock told all of our 3rd/4th liners that they could play on the first if they could show him some sweet moves and score goals tonight. Everyone looks like they are on fire.

You know, losing Ericsson isn't HORRIBLE. I mean, it sucks that he adds to the already huge list of injuries, but I don't think it'll be too hard replacing him. He hasn't been all that good....

3 goals and 7 assists for 10 points. Ain't bad for a rookie defensemen. There's no upside to this injury. Even if you're not incredibly happy with his play this year which has had it's rough moments defensively, all the injury does is slow his development which sucks long term. Ericsson will improve more and more as he plays. He's a rookie.

You can't compare him (as someone else did) to a Lebda who has proven through the years to just not be a very good player.

True, but Eaves stands out the most tonight.

Exactly. This is Ericsson's rookie season. He's made rookie mistakes for sure, but he plays 18 minutes a night, including on the PK. Move Lebda up to fill those minutes and people will be pining for the good old days when ericsson was in the lineup.

The problem is Ericsson played so amazing when he was called up last year. It created expectations that he couldn't live up to. I still think he's been getting better and better this season, and if he would get some time on the PP he'd rack up more points as well.
