Pavel Hossyukstrom 2 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Believe it or not I'd take kopecky back over Leino. At least he had size and did hit people when needed. Leino needs to be scratched soon. Doesn't anyone think even Filppula can't save him when he gets back? I know they that Finnish thing going between the two of them. But Leino is ridiculously bad right now. uk_redwing 495 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 When Kopecky fell on his ass, he at least provided an obstacle for the opposition to get round.
Finnish Wing 110 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Seems like every loss is Leino's fault now. At least he didn't turn the puck over like Helm did.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Kopecky. f*** that guy, he tried to play rough all night, but would skate away from any scrum there was all night.
Zion 93 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 I don't know why everyone is complaining. Leino wins foot-races. Leino finishes checks. Leino wins puck battles along the boards. Leino sticks up for his teammates after the whistle. He just needs to find his scoring touch and he'll fit right in.
GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Leino. At least Kopecky provided me with some good humor. There's nothing funny about Leino's play.
Guest Lidstromboli Report post Posted December 21, 2009 everyone expects kopecky to suck, and he's really good at it leino sucks at not sucking
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Kopecky. f*** that guy, he tried to play rough all night, but would skate away from any scrum there was all night. Perhaps with good reason.
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Seems like every loss is Leino's fault now. At least he didn't turn the puck over like Helm did. Generally when your team loses it's easier to blame 3rd line wingers than your underperforming star players.
b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 I can't seem to shake the feeling this is all somehow MY fault. But yeah, Kopecky was worse.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Generally when your team loses it's easier to blame 3rd line wingers than your underperforming star players. What star players though? On here if you criticize Lidstrom your on permanent ignore. Rafalski gets riped all the time as it is, and Datsyuk and Bertuzzi were good tonight, and I wouldnt count Bert as a star anyway. Everyone needs to step up when were this undermaned.
Pavel Hossyukstrom 2 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Seems like every loss is Leino's fault now. At least he didn't turn the puck over like Helm did. Wasn't saying that. Since both of them played against each other tonight I figured I try a poll between the two since Kopecky was with us and Leino is playing for us. We lost that game because our offense sucks right now and Ozzie not helping the cause.

Pavel Hossyukstrom 2 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Lidstrom really needs to start playing better. End of story. offensively at least. what's he trying to do break his previous goaless record? which stands somewhere in the 40 game area.
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Kopecky. Love the guy but no matter how much you try, more often than not you just flink.
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Ah Kopecky, the previous whipping boy. Believe it or not I liked him. Leino has the far greater upside though, has the chance to be a scorer in this league, something Kopecky doesn't have.
eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Leino has been a total floater who doesn't create his own offense, he simply expects it to come to him. Leino has played much more per game, in an offensive role much of the time, and receives PP time. Kopecky is and was a solid defensive player who at least brought some physical element to the team, and despite the ES and PP ice time Leino gets that Kopay didn't, Kopecky was more productive offensively last year than Leino is this year. eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 If Kopecky were on the team right now he would be injured. An injured Kopecky, on the ice or not, is better than Leino right now.

vOrophin 5 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Kopy is a -8 on a team as good as Chicago. Leino is a -8 on a (currently) worse Detroit team, as well as having twice as many points with a huge 6 over Kopy's 3. Leino sucks, but Kopy sucks more.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Absolutely not. And to make sure no one tries this, I'll debunk it right now
