elriqo28 2 Report post Posted January 27, 2010 What do you think? Most people talk about the Canadian and Russian team. Loui Eriksson-Backstrom-Alfredsson Sedin-Sedin-Weinhandl (leader of KHL scoring) Forsberg(if healthy)-Zetterberg-Hornqvist Holmstrom-Pahlsson-Modin (ugh) Lidstrom-Kronwall Enstrom-Oduya Ohlund-Murray Tallinder Lundqvist Gustavsson I'm probably going to get in trouble for saying this, but with out Sammy they've f***ed themselves. Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted January 27, 2010 (edited) I'm probably going to get in trouble for saying this, but with out Sammy they've f***ed themselves. Did the snub light a fire under the irascible Swede? In the subsequent 13 games, he's scored eight goals. He now has 18 on the season, which puts him on pace for 28 -five more than his career best in 2005-06. "It's not all a coincidence," Samuelsson, 33, agreed. "I was p—ed and I still feel that way. I said what I think and I still think that. Obviously, I have something to prove. I want to play good hockey and I want to prove it to guys that I can." http://www.kelowna.com/2010/01/27/olympic-...der-samuelsson/ Edited January 27, 2010 by Chairman Maouth
Rufio 29 Report post Posted January 27, 2010 Forsberg has in fact been playing fairly consistently. He was out most recently as a precaution, and more importantly it was nothing pertaining to his foot. Despite his injuries he's been playing at well over a ppg this season. I saw him play the other night against Frölunda, and he looked good. At times, very very good. However, the really important thing here is that Foppa really wants to play for his third Gold Medal, it's only eight or so games (he played six in the last Olympics) and playoff Foppa plays until he dies. As the Olympics is only a few games, I'll gladly take my chances with him. Especially since he doesn't have to center a line. He could be used as a pp specialist for all we know. You make some good points but I have to disagree with the bolded. The entire reason I thought I throw this out there, is because of the 2008 playoffs. He just wasn't able to be healthy. Colorado could replace him on the roster (which obviously didn't help), but Sweden cannot. 1 wingsfaninMA reacted to this

He just wasn't able to be healthy. Colorado could replace him on the roster (which obviously didn't help), but Sweden cannot. Yes, but in fact I too had that in mind. He could play one round (then take one off then play one, if I remember correctly?), and that's all this tournament is. Either way, when he's on he's electrifying, and I really want him to play against the best. Even, and especially, if it's his last time..

13dangledangle 968 Report post Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) I think Sweden looks great, but I agree with Franzen they would look awesome! I think they'll take down USA but not Russia or Canada....USA is going to look worse then people think I believe more less because I think Ron Wilson is in for an epic career fail, after the Olympics he'll probably get fired from Toronto as well! With everyone calling a Russia Canada Finale could you imagine Czech>Sloakia...That'd be awesome? Edited January 28, 2010 by 13dangledangle
titanium2 867 Report post Posted February 5, 2010 Is this true? http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/15/357600.page Actually the forward lines has been announced already! It's gonna be: 1: Forsberg - Bäckström - Hörnqvist 2: Sedin - Sedin - Weinhandl 3: Eriksson - Zetterberg - Alfredsson 4: Modin - Påhlsson - Holmström
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted February 5, 2010 I haven't seen anything about the lines being announced already, I think those are just what Aftonbladet speculated that they would go with. The Sedin line has a 99% probability of being correct. Zettererberg and Alfredsson would be a good match together. I wouldn't be surprised if the lines end up looking close to that. Finnish Wing 110 Report post Posted February 5, 2010 Didn't Forsberg just get injured AGAIN? Like third time in two months or something like that.
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted February 5, 2010 Didn't Forsberg just get injured AGAIN? Like third time in two months or something like that. When Forsberg is not injured, doctors from all over the world gather to study the phenomenon that is a "healthy Peter Forsberg".
