titanium2 867 Report post Posted January 30, 2010 Barry Bonds, Matt Cooke, Hines Ward... I want the children of this generation to be just like them. They play their game the way it's supposed to be played, not cheap or dirty at all.

Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted January 30, 2010 The grace and beauty with which Sidney Crosby leaves the ice surface after contact is a sight to behold. Like the great eagle taking flight in the crisp morning air, he majestically soars through his domain and, satisfied with what he has seen, returns gently back to Earth. Greg Louganis, Pat McCormick, Klaus Dibiasi, all pale in comparison to the way Sidney Crosby effortlessly performs his craft, the Kid from Cole Harbor that's taken the world by storm. Truly we are living in his era now, and from that we can never go back.
McAwesome 754 Report post Posted January 31, 2010 I like the fact that Heinz is in Pittsburgh, they make pretty good ketchup. Dick's Sporting Goods is also based out of Pittsburgh, bought my last pair of rollerblades from them.

Doc Holliday 1,888 Report post Posted January 31, 2010 (edited) Thomas Holmstrom WAS interfering with Fleury during the 2008 finals, and I am happy that he was called out on it. The Penguins really deserved that power play. Edited January 31, 2010 by Doc Holliday
Free_Candy 38 Report post Posted January 31, 2010 The Red Wings have one of the most visually striking logos in all sports, I am jealous of your octopus tradition, and Datsyuk is probably one of my most favorite players in the league... (runs) though I do mean all that! Oh, your name/avatar reminded me: I think it's hilarious that one of your players' nicknames is "free candy". I still laugh every time someone calls him that. Because he really does look like a pedophile.

55fan 5,133 Report post Posted January 31, 2010 The hockey gods can detect sarcasm, can't they? Probably, but Bettman reigns supreme over all that is hockeydom, and in his infinite wisdom, he knows that the Penguins have as much manliness as he does, so he will consider the compliment extended to him. Look for Bettman to start wearing powder blue in the near future (e5).
