Friday Practice Update (interesting)

Proves what I know.

Maybe Ericsson is going on LTIR. I didn't see him come back after the fight, and you know our history with euros getting injured in fights and all. :hehe:

But we've been hearing reports that Kronwall "will play next game" for a couple games now.

I have a feeling that it is Eaves. They have said that he is not coming back until after the Olys. May waivers + Eaves LTIR + Lebda trade = enough room for Lilja.

Kronwall will be on NHL Live at 1:30. I'm sure the question will be answered then.

Hmmmm.....that's interesting to say the least. I'm wondering if Fil got hurt late. Pav's looked fine in the SO.

no he didn't.

If dastyuk is hurt, detroit doesn't make the playoffs.

if either of datsyuk, zetterberg, franzen, lidstrom, or howard get hurt, then no playoffs for detroit.

Red Wings' Pavel Datsyuk, Valtteri Filppula expected to play Saturday; Niklas Kronwall improving

By Ansar Khan

February 12, 2010, 1:30PM

DETROIT -- Post-practice update:

Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said forwards Pavel Datsyuk and Valtteri Filppula didn't practice because "they're day-to-day maintenance.'' He expects both to play Saturday against Ottawa in the last game before the Olympic break.

Defenseman Niklas Kronwall (knee) said he feels much better and expects to play Saturday, unless he has a setback.

Brad May has until noon Saturday to clear waivers. A team spokesman said the Red Wings aren't likely to make a move before the 3 p.m. trading freeze.

Yippe.....another dud of a day just like our season. This means Lilja WON'T be back until after the olympics afterall.

dats looked horrible in the shootout. he didnt even deke he just took a back hand shot.

That was actually a pretty sweet attempt and it wasn't far from going in. He has to try new moves every now and then, they can't all work.

edit: good news about Pav and Fil, although it's bad news they're even having any injuries at all.

Why would they not make a move? Unless someone is going on LTI... Lilja officially counts against the cap now - playing or not.

Lilja put on LTIR even though he's not really injured? :scared:
