I will be down at the Ass Can (Pepsi Center) tonite with my 7 and 9 year old son's. Row 11. We will have signs saying "Welcome back Lilja!", and "Jimmy for the Calder!"

Maybe Little Gary's TV station will show them. Hopefully the Red Wings are motivated. It is now or never guy's!

Look for a high level of support as usual from the many Wings fans who show up in Denver.

Will babcock coach this game? and where will his mind be?

Of course he will. Why wouldn't he? That's like asking if Rafalski will play in it. The Wings' current situation isn't like it was in 2006.

How unprofessional do you think Babs is? He'll be fine.

I think babcock is still walking on air after that victory and probably feel good about himself... might carry over to the first few games with the wings... lots of psycological aspects in the game of hockey one should not underestimate.

What makes you an expert on how Babs is feeling and where his focus will be tonight? Given the professionalism he's exuded since the day he joined the Wings evidence points to the contrary.

Your's is just an opinionated statement with zero merit....which is likely with the sole intent to bait/piss people off.

I am so excited to see Lilja back. Granted he is not Lidstrom, his physical presence and shot blocking will be awesome to see. Hopefully he doesn't hold back coming off of injury. Also, lets hope he improves Big E's game too.

Btw, anyone else interested in seeing the following defensive pairing:

Kronwall-Lidstrom

Rafalski-Stuart

I'm sure Babcock wouldn't do it, but I would love to see how that would work....unfortunately, we aren't really in any position to experiment right now.

I would love to see those pairings given a shot. It's really strange that we don't see the D pairings changed up more often considering how often the forward lines get juggled.

With Ericsson's struggles and Lilja just coming off a year long hiatus I wouldn't even mind seeing Stuart and Rafalski spending some time with Lilja and Ericsson at various poitns of the game to see if there are advantages to that.

I can't wait for tonight, despite the fact we're on Versus. I can overlook everything about their broadcasts if it means getting to see the Wings out there and getting to see Lilja on the ice again :D

I'm jealous that you even get to see it on Versus. :ranting:

So weird to see only one name under injuries!!

haha I was thinking the exact same thing. It was funny a couple months ago when we were ecstatic because there was only 4 or 5 names ahhah

Well actually he is only expected to play. MacLean said that it will be up to Raffi and Babs, and they have posted a lineup with him and one without him.

So it is possible, though not probable that Rafalski may not play tonight.

If Rafalski misses this game I will be calling for the NHL's head for not scheduling a travel day, I already thought it was ludacris to bend to TV schedules and have no travel day, but if a player misses a game, and an important one at that for its playoff implications, then there is no excuse to not have had a travel day and I will be steamed.

A heads up for tonight; be prepared to look somewhere else for a stream.

I won't be around at the beginning of the game, not to mention a few other hurdles I have. I'll try to get stuff setup before the game, but there's a good chance something might go wrong. If it does go down check back at the start of the 2nd since I should be home by then. If still nothing working then, I'll see you Wednesday ;)

Miller-Filppula-Williams

Feels like the third line could get upgraded.. and cleary and bertuzzi aren't good handling the puck too many turnovers and juggling down the boards

For a change I don't need your stream tonight, but thanks for typically having them up and running. Much appreciated!

Weird lines. I'd expect either Bert or Hank to play with Pavs.

Not a big fan of the reported line combos. I know we are deep at center, but we do not have enough scoring depth at wingers to try to roll a 3rd scoring line. Why not split up Draper and Helm and make 2 checking/energy lines to go with our top 2 scoring lines, which right now we have just enough scoring punch to create.

Zetterberg/Datsyuk/Holmstrom

Franzen/Filppula/Bertuzzi

Eaves/Helm/Cleary

Miller/Draper/Williams
