My wife and I are having our 2nd child on Wednesday. She has told me to shave the playoff beard. I need to be absolved of the sin of shaving my playoff beard and maybe the great posters here at LGW could provide it.
In need of....

I agree its probably best not to scar your newborn by looking like a West Virginian mountain man.

"During Robert Lang’s time in Detroit, he caused me anguish. Other times he brought me and my family great joy. Robert Lang occasionally coasts, and spends time searching for the best pane of glass to best view the reflection of his flowing mullet. Other times he is a strong-armed force with the puck. I never knew what to expect from Robert Lang. He is The Enigma. " - A2Y

Oh, wait... man having sex + thinking = does not compute.
It's ok this time, but next time have sex during the post-season. Starting next year. You're SOL for 2010, buddy.
Seriously, congrats. May your family be healthy and happy and clad in red forever.
My money on the board pledge:
$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.
An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.
$5 for a SO by Jimmy.
Hamsters' names (current players in RED): Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik
Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert
Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan
Andrew Patrick Ian Todd
And introducing: Jordin Damien Gustav James
TOTAL SO FAR: $36

HankthaTank - Squirrels, they hate to be thrown. / Why is the magical unicorn named Brian... Jedi - I just downloaded the "kids" book, "Go the F--k to Sleep" as narrated by Samuel L. Jackson on my kindle. I am now ready to be a daddy. / *Checks Router* No, I'm positive I didn't hit the "Wings Defense Sucks" button. Electrophile - I'm just glad the Wings were able to win despite the Curse of Brian. ACallToArms - I think Trey needs to put something about payroll tax and deferred income in his sig... Edicius - I'd rather [have] a soundbite of me saying "I like (man sausage)" rather than "I like Crosby".

I just had an image of him holding the baby over his head and walking it around the room, as if it were the cup.
Maybe that should be part of his penance? Haha.
Congratulations, who knows, maybe by this personal sacrifice for your family the hockey gods will reward you with your kid being the next NHL superstar someday!

A general absolution from the Hockey Gods....

Well, grab the Gillette, a pack of Feathers, and go forth to sin no more, fellow Buckeye.
