hillbillywingsfan 792 Report post Posted October 27, 2010 even if we didn't have homers goal and dats goal to compare to thats still bad. i would understand if he was looking the other way or what not but that ref was looking right at them and still called it good. wow...sad sad. MotorCityMadness 388 Report post Posted October 27, 2010 For those who didn't see the Toronto-Florida game last night, I thought you might appreciate this clip given some of the goals Homer has had called back over the last few seasons. I've always thought the refs have no consistency on what exactly constitutes goaltender interference, but this one is laughably bad. Note the ref standing about 10 feet away with a great look at what happened. The same one who signals goal. Didn't the Philly and Buffalo game have a somewhat similar play in it last night as well? I think it was on the goal that gave Philly a 2-1 lead early in the 2nd. I couldn't find a video of it, but I'm pretty sure it was a similar play.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) Not really. Briere was pushed into Miller by Tim Connolly. Orr ran into Clemmenson on his own. Edited October 27, 2010 by Hockeytown0001

Evans_18 4 Report post Posted October 27, 2010 Im just waiting to see what happens tomorrow. For some reason I am expecting the refs to make an example of us and disallow a goal to make up for the Orr goal.

Guest scottj Report post Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) The Red Wings are so crafty that they can cheat and only other teams' fans can see! The refs can't catch on for some weird reason! My God! Amazing! Edited October 27, 2010 by scottj

titanium2 867 Report post Posted October 28, 2010 Is there any way that the coaches and higher ups can use this to their advantage? Like what if they just kept throwing this event in Bettman's face. Would that do any good? Probably not, just thinking out loud here.

Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted October 28, 2010 And yet, in the playoffs of 2007, the Ducks were allowed to run Hasek over and have the play declared "good goal" after the puck landed in the net afterwards.
