Unfortunately Crosby is at the top, and Toews is somehow above Stamkos. Lidstrom is second overall for defense-man. Keith barely edging him out, but I kind of agree that Lidstrom/Keith would be interesting to see if only for one game. Of note is that Howard has 31,000 write in votes. It should also be noted, 118,754 of the votes for Crosby, came from a 14 year old boy in a Philadelphia basement. The other vote came from Crosby himself (I have this on good authority, don't question me!!) 2 lookalive07 and wings1110 reacted to this

Broken 16 381 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 Lol that Toews and Kane are even on there at all. All Star game always has been, and continues to be, a joke. The list of players more qualified than those two clowns is high and deep.
up2here 41 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 (edited) Now I hate the Blackhawks too but come on. Kane is averaging a point per game and Toews has 18 points in 23 games while playing well defensively. Both deserve at the very least to be playing in the game. Lets not let our hatred blind us. Both deserve at the very least to be playing in the game. Lets not let our hatred blind us. A lot of players are? The fact is Toews and Kane have been lackluster this season. The All-Star is and always will be a simple popularity contest. I wish they would take this away from the fans and give the vote directly to experts, to be honest with you. I will slightly retract and say Kane before Toews.

In reality this years all star game is mostly based on last years performance with a little on this years. We all know the Stanley Cup hangover can be a ***** and Im sure the Hawks are feeling it. seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 Its very unlikely that anyone in Philadelphia would vote for Crosby, hes hated more than Santa Claus there. The kid's not even a hockey fan. His parents make him watch every game though, and as an act of rebellion he voted nonstop for their least favorite player. It's true, I saw it on the news. akustyk 84 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 looks like only 3 Wings players could make it. that's 3 too much in my book, but I can live with it. anyway... whoever expected Sindy Crosby to not be on top...
henrik40 76 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 Eh whatever. Fan voting is stupid as it is. Anyone remember the Hawks board advocating voting for the other top vote getters aside from their 3 starters so that the Wings couldn't get any starters in? That's what it's become. In the end we all know Lids, Dats, probably Z will be there, and I still probably won't watch it. I'll watch the draft, not the game though.

That said, he has no business being in an ASG. But I love how Rangers fans are basically trolling the NHL. It all started at some Rangers blog, and spread like wildfire from there I guess.
