Travis 576 Report post Posted April 28, 2011 Tigers are sloppy in their losses. Didn't watch tonight's game, but seems like it was quite the s*** show.
HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted April 28, 2011 Well, this series has just brought us right back down to life after that sweep of the Sox. Not sure what this team's identity is other than horrible defensively and bad bullpen. Formula for disaster down the road.

GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted April 28, 2011 Why is Brad Thomas still here? He gives up more runs than he gets outs.

HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted May 2, 2011 Holy bed s***ting... If we didn't have Cabrera, this is possibly a 100 loss team.

rwfan007 18 Report post Posted May 3, 2011 Time for Avila to move up in the order. Preferably taking over Magglio's spot since Magglio couldn't hit a beach ball with a tennis racket.
GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted May 3, 2011 Fire. Leyland. Someone had to start it. I can't be alone right now either thinking it.

rwfan007 18 Report post Posted May 3, 2011 Rhymes and Seizemore swap spots in AAA and MLB. Sizemore is tearing the cover off the ball batting .400+ down there, so the Big Club is giving him a shot.
Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted May 4, 2011 Anyone have a stream for MLB games? Love to keep up with Detroit, but i'm having a hard time finding a way to watch.
HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted May 4, 2011 Nice win against the Bombers yesterday. Looking like geniuses calling up Sizemore which was the obvious move at this point. But wow, that guy is awful in the field.
Travis 576 Report post Posted May 4, 2011 Anyone have a stream for MLB games? Love to keep up with Detroit, but i'm having a hard time finding a way to watch. Front Row Sports ILEMI Big win for the club yesterday. Hopefully Jackson is getting back into the swing of things, because he's a key component to the offense. There was talk prior to last night's game of having Maggs and Boesch swap places; but I agree with Rod. I'd like to see Boesch stay right where he is. Maybe Raburn takes the 3rd slot. HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 Just amazing Verlander! No hitter #2 my man. I watched from inning 3 on and it was simply a sickening performance. True ace....

rwfan007 18 Report post Posted May 8, 2011 (edited) I had a little feeling right away that made me pay extra attention to this game for some reason. Right from the start, I was getting antsy waiting for the Jay's first hit, and in the 5th when JV made that great play and Cabby got an Oscar for his performance, I told my dad, "every one of these has a really spectacular play to keep it alive." (I didn't say "no-hitter" for fear of jinx like a shutout situation in hockey lol) In '07, Nefi Perez made that great sliding play to get a double play, in '09, that CF in Chicago robbed a home run in the 9th and held on for the out for mark buehrle's perfect game, and last year, Jackson made that awesome over-the-shoulder grab for Galarraga's almost perfect game, and today, JV helped his own cause with a great scramble and gun for the out. What a well pitched game, not really over-powering like his first one with 12 K's, but a really well "pitched" game. Edited May 8, 2011 by rwfan007
8 Legged RedWing 367 Report post Posted May 8, 2011 He was so close to the perfect game too. I get the feeling that isn't the last time JV goes for a no-no.
HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) JV might go for another no-no this year. Just something he has the ability to do; completely neutralizes hitters with 3 plus pitches. I mean, the dude was hitting 100 mph consistently toward the end of that game. Awesome to have JV locked up for awhile. rwfan007 18 Report post Posted May 9, 2011 Looks like Jackson is starting to heat up, Penny is getting his stride, JV found something that works, Porcello is looking better. We might be turning a corner towards consistency.
Travis 576 Report post Posted May 10, 2011 I saw absolutely 0% of the game on Saturday and didn't find out about it until after the fact, but that's okay. One of my diehard friends was actually in attendance and I'm really happy for him. JV is an absolute horse and the definition of an ace. I thought Leyland was being hyperbolic in Spring when he said that Verlander / Scherzer could match up with any 1-2 punch in baseball; but they're making him look smart right now. Travis 576 Report post Posted May 11, 2011 Yeah, here's hoping this team continues to play up to the potential we all saw before the season started. Satisfying beat down of the Twins last night to make it 7 of their last 9 and 4 straight.
