vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted April 11, 2011 We had so much fun with this during the Columbus games, I thought we'd do a playoff version. This time we're going to do it a little differently; you pledge whatever amount you like (per game, per series, whatever) - if the Wings win, you pony up. If the Wings lose, so does Children's Hospital. We will do this for every playoff series this post-season the Wings are involved in. I decided to pledge $20 for the series win, plus another $1 for every multi-goal game Franzen has. This will be my standard pledge for each series. Anyone else in? 3 Rick D, Uncle Danny and RedWingFan2k1 reacted to this
ACallToArms 270 Report post Posted April 11, 2011 Let's make this fun and interesting -I'll pledge $10 for a series win. -Extra $10 for a sweep. -Extra $5 for every shutout. -Extra $1 for every goal Hudler scores. I'll use this as my standard pledge. 1 Rick D reacted to this
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted April 11, 2011 Question: Are we doing one for the post-season or is it a different one each series? (IOW, how often do we have to pay up?) 1 Rick D reacted to this
vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted April 11, 2011 One-time payment once we have a total. I chose to pledge per series - you can pledge per game, per win, whatever floats your boat, but the Wings have to take the series for Children's Hospital to get the money. 1 Rick D reacted to this
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted April 11, 2011 (edited) Cool. I'll go $1 per win, plus $1 per goal for everyone I've had a hamster named after. In the interest of full disclosure before the fact, here are the names of the furballs (active Wings bolded- will not pay for non-Wings unless they accidentally score for the Wings): Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik Niklas Mathieu Daniel Robert Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan This could get expensive, but it's worth it. Vladifan 680 Report post Posted April 11, 2011 I like this idea a whole lot. I'll do the same as you, Vladdy. $20 for a series win; but instead of Franzen, I'll pick Zetterberg for multi-goal games. He WILL be back, and soon! Hopefully, it'll be an impetus for him to get his butt and knee back in the game. 1 Rick D reacted to this
Booster313 138 Report post Posted April 11, 2011 I like this idea... Does it go to the Detroit Childrens Hospital? For every series the Wings win I will give 10x whatever Jimmy's playoff GAA is at the end and an extra dollar for every shutout he had in the previous series. 1 Rick D reacted to this
Jasper84 333 Report post Posted April 11, 2011 Awesome idea, I'm always willing to participate for a good cause. I'll go $15 if we win a series in 5 or 6, $20 if we win in 7 or $30 if we sweep. $1 per multi-point game for Lids How does this work exactly, do we send over our donation over to you Vlady16 at the end of the series (or playoffs?) I don't remember seeing this from the columbus games so this is new to me. 1 Rick D reacted to this
vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted April 11, 2011 Yes, the money we donate will go to Children's Hospital in the name of LetsGoWings.com. Everyone will PayPal me their donation when it is not possible to donate any more money under the terms of your pledge. I will donate one lump sum to Children's Hospital. 1 Rick D reacted to this
RippedOnNitro 22 Report post Posted April 11, 2011 (edited) Awesome idea! I am going for 100% team effort only, so no individual rewards. The better they play the bigger the reward. And winning the cup means a big bonus. First round: Winning the series in 7 games: $5 Winning the series in 6 games: $7 Winning the series in 5 games: $10 Winning the series in 4 games: $14 Second round: Winning the series in 7 games: $7 Winning the series in 6 games: $10 Winning the series in 5 games: $14 Winning the series in 4 games: $19 Third round: Winning the series in 7 games: $10 Winning the series in 6 games: $14 Winning the series in 5 games: $19 Winning the series in 4 games: $25 Fourth round: Winning the series in 7 games: $14 Winning the series in 6 games: $19 Winning the series in 5 games: $25 Winning the series in 4 games: $32 When winning the cup: $1 per goal for the total play-off goal difference (goals for minus goals against) $5 per shutout for the total play-off shutout difference (shutouts for minus shutouts against) $1 per point gained extra above 99 points in the regular season (so including the 100th point) --> so this would be a $5 bonus (104 minus 99). So you know what to do Red Wings! Edited April 11, 2011 by RippedOnNitro 1 Rick D reacted to this

Cevari 68 Report post Posted April 12, 2011 Guess I'll hop in. I'm a poor student though so not gonna put up a lot, but let's say $5 for every series win and $2 for every Wings shutout. I reckon that $52 will be a small price to pay for watching the wings sweep the playoffs 16-0 with 0 goals against 1 Rick D reacted to this

seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted April 12, 2011 $10 per series win $5 per game with 0 PPG against $0.10 per blocked shot Also, $10 per fighting major Any SHG against wipe out any game-specific totals. vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted April 12, 2011 It does indeed stand for short-handed goals, but as there are no shootouts in the playoffs, it wouldn't matter.
Peadydog 98 Report post Posted April 13, 2011 (edited) I'll pledge: $12 for every series win, plus $12 for a sweep $1 for every Modano assist $1 for every point from the blueliners Well, since Modano is a healthy scratch for tonite, I'll add in $1 for every Pavel point, and for good luck, $1 for every Abdelkader point.
