rrasco 1,312 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 That's one. It is now in the past. Sunday is a new game with a new scoresheet. One game at a time! LGW!
sinbin 3 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 Think about it......what the difference is in this series is......lucky bounces......puck luck....deflections...... this has been very entertaining to say the least.....did we expect anything different? And it is still up for grabs!

Motown4013 350 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 This series is very deceptive...It could be 3-1 Wings...or more likely, all tied up at 2-2. A weird bounce, a bad penalty- the difference is so slight ..we are so close to breaking through. We have momentum coming into game 5. We CAN still win this series! 8 Legged RedWing 367 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 Game 5 is the deal breaker. Lots of teams win game 4 but not many win game 5 and force a chance to play for game 7. A team can brush off one loss and say whatever, then come out strong in game 5 but if we manage to win game 5, that's when the real doubt starts to set in. Game 5 is such a big game, it could really be the turning point. In all honesty I don't see us wining that game but I know they can. Just have to get some lucky bounces and play good D, that's all. Besides adding to the Wings momentum, if the Wings win Game 5, it will demonstrate several things, all at once, and all in the Wings favor: Firstly, that their game is continuing its upward ramp from Game 1 (the Wings have stepped up their play with every successive game since, which kept everything very close). Secondly, it will demonstrate that they can steal at least one game at the Shark tank - and if one game there, why not another back at the Joe? Thirdly, it demonstrates that they can find a way to win two in a row against the Sharks. And if one two-in-a-row steak is possible, another is hardly out of the question. I want the Sharks to win, of course, but I recognize that the games have all been decided by a single goal, two of them in overtime. To me that spells volatile. Veritable tipping points for any team that pushes harder are entirely possible, which means that our series is far from over. kylee 727 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 Game5 the biggest game since SCF game7 from 09? Wings need to prove this isn't last year's series just repeating itself again.
CanadaBoy 151 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 One game at a time, the Wings will win the series. The Sharks won all 4 of their games last year by 1 goal, way to close.
ComradeWasabi 109 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 One game at a time, the Wings will win the series. The Sharks won all 4 of their games last year by 1 goal, way to close. And all three of their games this series. The Wings have been in every single game, they've just failed to win close games (except for last night).
Joey v3.4 45 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 (edited) wewr I didn't say, or do anything against the rules. Why was my post deleted? I didn't even voice an opinion against the wings, considering I am a wings fan. I talked about what they really needed to do in game 5, to win. I didn't swear. Didn't argue. Didn't slam. Didn't even acknowledge anyone else. Just posted my thoughts. (Moderator didn't like them?) Gist of it was, if they win game 5, with a huge win, they have a chance. If it's a squeaky win, then game 6 is just as questionable. Why did you delete this? I save all my posts. I will be asking the site owner about it. sandyeggo wingnut 19 Report post Posted May 8, 2011 (edited) Lol thanks my man...you're all right fir a sharks fan. Loved goin to the game with a girl that's not a puck bunny..she saw setoguchi comin off the bench and Howard drifting too far left before I did on the game winner (my leg still hurts where she dug her fingernails in it lol)...of course we were sitting five rows behind he net (I know it was deflected off Z's stick but Howard was out of position).. The camera angle from center ice doesnt show it tell you what though the bounces finally went our way last game...can't wait fir tomorrow (edit just looked at the clock...tonight lol ) Edited May 8, 2011 by sandyeggo wingnut
dragonballgtz 273 Report post Posted May 8, 2011 Can the Wings win this series? Nope. Why? Depth is way to inconsistent, and it has shown all year long. We had two "turning it around games" this season and while we looked good for a game or two after those games, we went back to s***ty play soon after. Guest Grayne Wetzky Report post Posted May 8, 2011 Really? So it is physically impossible? Can they win the series? Yes absolutely. Will they? Probably not. Tonight will tell. There's still a good chance they lose the series if they win tonight, but at least a win tonight will take it back to Detroit. The Sharks are a good team, though. It will be a real ***** for the Wings to pull off this one. I'd say 1 in a 1000 odds.

MGreenberg 105 Report post Posted May 9, 2011 I didn't expect much other than them winning game four because of last year but now that they brought it back to 3-2 I think they can pull it off.
Jenny 315 Report post Posted May 9, 2011 To quote Monty Python's Spamalot: We are not dead yet, we can dance and we can sing. We are not dead yet, We can come from behind and score on your punk ass. (That was their first draft.)
rrasco 1,312 Report post Posted May 9, 2011 I think all the Negative Nancys, Debbie Downers, and Buzz Killington's should be banned. I'm sure it makes the Wings feel great their 'fans' don't even think they can pull it off. You should all go find a team that really doesn't care about your support, really. If you didn't believe on Thursday, do you now? Oh, so you're a fair-weather fan. Blah!
