Please God no.

EDIT: I guess Jagr said no to Pit... Now what?

Tootoo does NOT belong on this team. He is classless and I would rather see the Wings be bad than classless. I feel the same way about Bertuzzi as well, but he at least CAN make the team better. With Tootoo the team becomes worse and in danger of being classless. Would you have liked Claude on the team? Or Roy? No. So why would you be okay with that POS.

This is stunning news. I've never read it before and have never seen anything remotely similar on the first page of general discussion on LGW.
If some bored artist wants to make me a signature, feel free to cut loose and do so.

Of course, I could get off my lame rear and do something.

So, we're dogpiling on the goalie sammy Hudler the defense the refs league bias against us coaching now? Ok.

So no one wants Jagr at $1.8 million to play on Filppula's wing? Isn't Filppula the one with great defensive ability and some offensive skill? I say a 3rd line with Filppula and Jagr would be great. Oh yea, sign Wis and/or Erhoff for D please. I know we have the money...

While im not really for this... I guess I'm not totally against it either.

If he wanted to come to the Wings for 1.5 Million... I think that would be worth the gamble.

He could potentially play on all of the top three lines, but would more than likely be relegated to the third line with PP time as well. Why not if it's 1.5 million or less.

hes exactly what the Red Wings need!!! a soft player past his prime!!! we dont have an of those already, do we?

sarcasm aside, if he does sign hear, it should be in his contract that hes required to grow his dirty mullet flow back.

I'll pass as well! About 12 years ago I would have jumped at the chance, but not now! Sure, he was a horse in the World Championships, but lets face it, I do not think he can handle the grind of the NHL. Please, go to Pittsburgh and join Crysby!!

I'm not all excited about this prospect either, but in all fairness, if anyone can rejuvenate his career, it's the Wings. They've done it for Draper, Clearly, Lang, etc. If they want to try it, I won't argue, but I won't be happy about it either.
Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.
