13dangledangle 965 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 Off for this one  ...Does anyone know if Jimmy starts or does Conks get the nod?
zombi 43 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 I'm sure that Howard gets the start. Conks probably won't play until we meet the Predators later this month, but I think that depends on how this road trip goes.
WorkingOvertime 536 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 Per Mlive. Here are the lines they practiced with on Monday:Cleary-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Filppula-Zetterberg-Franzen Hudler-Helm-Abdelkader Miller-Emmerton-Eaves (Brunnstrom working in) Lidstrom-Ericsson Stuart-Smith (holding Kronwall's place) Kindl-Commodore Howard (starting Tuesday) Conklin
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 I decided to drag out my old crystal ball to see who will win tonight. Unfortunately, it was fogged up and the only thing I found was the last 4 letters of the coach's last name. 7 Jenny, pazzloski, Byorski and 4 others reacted to this
Jenny 315 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 (edited) I would expect Conk to get one of the starts during this road trip. His last two outings were so dismal that it might be better to put him back in for a road game-- the expectations and pressure from the crowd aren't so weighty. Should be easier for him to rebuild some confidence that way. Edited November 15, 2011 by Jenny
WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 I hope we get this road trip off to a good start. I agree with Jenny, would be nice to get Conklin back in net so he's ready when/if needed.
Krystal 41 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 This is the only time I hate Center Ice - because they black it out for the Blues feed even though I'm 3 1/2-4 hours away. Doubly worse when they aren't always broadcasting the Blues game on this side of the state. Darren Pang is an AWFUL announcer >.> If I had the cables to hook my laptop up to my HD tv I'd just use a stream and watch it there xD If nothing else, at least my daughter will get to watch and get excited for us to win tonight. LGW! 1 hooon reacted to this

P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 MLive Hitchcock gets quick resultsThe Red Wings have played against Hitchcock-coached clubs since 1995-96 (Dallas, Philadelphia, Columbus), so they know what to expect. “You know they’re going to tighten up defensively, play real well through the neutral zone, not give us a whole lot,” Lidstrom said. “In their own zone, they usually play tougher around their net.” Commodore, who played for Hitchcock in Columbus, said the Blues will work hard, get the puck in deep and forecheck aggressively. “That’s what he preaches, it’s OK to try to make plays, but you need to get the puck deep,” Commodore said. “If you start turning pucks over at the blue line, then Hitch is going to be all over you. “It’s tough as a defenseman if you consistently have to turn and race back and get the puck; you’re getting run into the end boards because nobody can hold anybody up. It wears you down over the course of the game. I’m expecting lots of pressure. I’m sure those guys will be flying.”
newfy 695 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 Good young team in St Louis. Commie in and will have his spot for a few games to show what he can bring. I expect him to meet up with some players infront of the net big time tonight, this St Louis team has always been a chippy bunch. I remember David Backes slashing Howard hard in the glove while he was standing up at the end of a game last year, hopefully that s***s at a minimum with Commie out there

WorkingOvertime 536 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 Why does anyone wanna see that clown in net... did you already forget how bad he was. Because Howard can't play every game during the regular season and the playoffs. If you don't like Conklin, you should be for keeping Howard at the top of his game. 1 Ram reacted to this
