Only watching ep 4 thru 6, Vadar is seen as a powerful force user who lost his way and only uses his powers against adults who get in his way. The storm troopers and military personnel do the senseless killing. Vadar is calculating. When he saves Luke and kills the emperor, there is actually a redeeming quality present because of this. After Lucas added all the homicidal maniac qualities to Anakin in the prequels and extras, he's no longer a guy you can forgive. Big mistake there. Everyone always points to Anakin killing the younglings in the jedi temple. But no one ever acknowledges that the jedi literally have friggin child soldiers.
