Nice kill to end the period. PK looks great with Eaves and Miller.

Down a goal isn't bad at all. They just need to limit the turnovers in the second. Franzen scoring some goals would be helpful too. He's just a complete non-factor.

Zetterberg would be great as well. But he might be too busy guarding Captain Calm....

So. Much. Vibrato.

Yep.  You could drive at least a CRV through it.

Well, let's see. First the earth cooled. And then the dinosaurs came, but they got too big and fat, so they all died and they turned into oil. And then the Arabs came and they bought Mercedes Benzes. And Prince Charles started wearing all of Lady Di's clothes. I couldn't believe it.

And then the Hawks scored.

Other than that...pretty boring 1st.

Got ya. :). How is the reffing, and how are our guys looking?
It's pronounced "Zim" not "Exim". Aw heck with it, just call me Scott.

Yeah, definitely agree it would be nice to see Z score a goal. However, his lack of goal-scoring doesn't frustrate me as much because of what you mentioned. What is Franzen doing when he isn't scoring goals?

Both are fairly benign.

Refs are letting them play...in my opinon.

Something to consider:

Per CBC, teams that get a shutout in Game 4 to go up 3-1 in series are 37-0 in Game 5s. Crazy stat.

One can hope the trend continues

Please, hockey gods, let it be true!   :w00t2:   :notworthy:

Looked like we came out protecting a 3-1 lead, only the guys didn't understand they actually have to score in this game too.

Way too cautious and defensive, though obviously some of that is due to Chicago being aggressive and desperate.

Need a much better 2nd period, would love to see some offense.

Well lack of goal scoring and allowing too much pressure in their own end is doing the Wings in again! Looks like game 6 will be their game 7 as we all know what will happen if have to make another trip to Chicago again!

Keep it up boys Crawford can't keep making these kinds of saves

I wanna see our guys start showing up where his deeelicious rebounds are.   :yahoo:

All by design my friend.  Play defensively the 1st period against the biggest storm that they can muster.  Now, it's on.

Jep, Mule cooled off since the second or first game in Anaheim and is nearly invisible since then. I don't care, as long as he scores he GWG tonight. :P

That was the best Chicago had. And only Bryan frickin Bickell could bury a goal, and it was off of a turnover. Turn up the heat, no turnovers, and we'll finish these f***ers off.

Turnovers are bad, but you can't just fall apart after that.

Looked like Flip never saw Bickell behind him.

Yep.
