There has been a lot of Cleary discussion in all of the threads today, so I thought we could have a repository for Cleary news

Ansar Khan @AnsarKhanMLive:
No deals between Wings and Cleary and Brunner yet. Both hitting market. Cleary wants 4 years, Wings offered 3.

John Shannon ‏@JSportsnet 5s
Dan Cleary might be the 1 moving on in Detroit.Last night, he was 90% set on joining his best friend SHorcoff in Dallas. Ducks in on it too.

From a player's perspective I can understand wanting the 4 years, but that's a long term for someone who plays the game the way Cleary does.

Good, go to Dallas with Horcoff. Have fun! We're better off with Alfredsson over Cleary.

4 years at any cap hit is bad for Cleary.

I think Abby has shown that he can take over Cleary's role- I don't see where the Wings have room for Cleary.

Nill saying Dallas is out of the running for Cleary?

Stars are not in on Dan Cleary, per Nill.

Nill is saying Stars are not in on Cleary!

"The more I know about people - the better I like my dog." - Mark Twain

"A wise man once told me, ‘Don’t argue with fools. Cause people from a distance can’t tell who is who'." Jay Z, Takeover

"When I was looking for a captain, I wanted a guy with the Red Wings crest tattooed on his chest," said former Detroit coach Jacques Demers, who named Yzerman captain in 1986. "Steve Yzerman was that guy."

“Told him if he wasn't ultra-competitive he couldn't come here. If he didn't bring it every day he couldn't come here, because he was going to hate it if he didn't, dislike the coach and dislike playing here.
“It's real straightforward. If you don't do it right, you're not happy here." Babcock

Because Nill knows that he's not worth it...maybe he'll make a reminder call to Holland.
