That was more a "he's going to be due a raise due to his good play" comment, than something accusing him of only playing well because of the contract year. Yay, 2-0 Why not give it to Alfie for tonight? My guess is that the equipment staff didn't bring any extra "A's" for the jerseys on the road trip. Prior to getting fired, Larry Murphy usually handled the color commentary duties on long trips. Though, after the firing, Redmond was on the road for all games last year.
