The Datsyukian Deke 127 Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Andersson and Glendening sit. Z - Datsyuk - Nyquist Tatar - Sheahan - Jurco Franzen - Legwand - Alfie Miller - Helm - Abby Weiss sits (maybe babs gives him a chance over Jurco for a few games but he likely won't produce and sits) 1st line initially looks great, but if you give it a second thought...3 creative guys on one line would be wasted. I'll go with: Z - Dats - Alfie Franzen - Legwand - Nyquist Tatar - Sheahan - Jurco Abby - Glendening - Helm With Miller the first to come in if anyone gets injured. If that top line doesn't work out well, it changes to: Z - Dats - Jurco Tatar - Sheahan - Nyquist Franzen - Legwand - Alfie Abby - Glendening - Helm Yes, Jurco. I wanna see that. dirtydangles 1,328 Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Sheahan can kill penalties along with Z and Dats and I think Legwand is half decent too.
wings4thecup06 504 Report post Posted March 31, 2014 I can't see how you can possibly break up the kids/send any of them down. They've really carried this team this far the last couple of months and are still going, creating havoc in the offensive zone and still being defensively responsible. We're going to need that scoring depth if we make it into the playoffs (i'm not going to be the one to jinx it!) 1 dirtydangles reacted to this
marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted March 31, 2014 All I know is that I don't think there is any chance Glendening is coming off this roster when the team is healthy. Can't take any of the guys with speed out of the lineup.

Game. 1 marcaractac reacted to this

That's even without Weiss! If Smith can continue to play well, same for Q, then I think this team could be deadly in the playoffs. Dat forward corps is absolutely filthy. If you've got: Z-Datsyuk-Franzen Nyquist-Legwand-Alfredsson Tatar-Sheahan-Jurco Abdelkader-Helm-Glendening Who's going to be doing the PKing? Glendening and Helm, then who? Having all bottom six PKers in the lineup at the same time weakens our overall offense, because someone valuable gets left off. Plus, Z and Dats are great PKers when healthy. And greatness is what you need on the highest level. For example, look at Chicago...when it matters most, you can expect seeing Toews on the PK. And rightfully so. Why not send your best to the task? marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted April 1, 2014 With everyone healthy, use Dats and/or Z on the PK and don't waste a spot to someone with minor talent, just to kill penalties. Dats won't be 100%, z will be back from back surgery. Babs will be smart with how they are used. I'm sure z will be on key pks once he is fully back in game shape, but we still need pk regulars. Luckily we have guys that can do that and bring a lot of speed and energy to the team.

DannyD 79 Report post Posted April 1, 2014 Ansar Khan @AnsarKhanMLive 48s Datsyuk also said his conditioning is a concern after not having played since Feb. 27. Feels urgency to return and help the team. I think he should probably not play against the Bruins. Then we he does come back play limited minutes.

wings4thecup06 504 Report post Posted April 1, 2014 hmm I reckon Pavel will be good to go friday, although it would be awesome to get him back in vs Boston, I think friday night vs the Sabres in an easier game might be better for him. Obviously depends how he's feeling though. Who's next to sit out when he comes back? Andersson?
wings87 1,290 Report post Posted April 1, 2014 I would like to state that anyone that posts an April fools joke regarding injuries today is a gigantic d-bag.
